Lamajoun is a hidden gem serving food with heart, history, and true Armenian hospitality. One bite of their crispy, aromatic lamajoun (Armenian flatbread with seasoned meat) tastes like generations of tradition.
From the moment we arrived, the hostess treated us like family, offering freshly baked lavash and dry sausages while our meal was prepared, and even adding lemon and mint to my water bottle. That small gesture spoke volumes about their warmth and care.
From sizzling kebabs to traditional desserts, every dish is crafted with authenticity and love. The air is filled with the aromas of fresh bread, grilled meats, and fragrant herbs, and the unpretentious atmosphere makes you want to linger.
Anthony Bourdain once said, “Food is about the soul of the people who prepare it.” If that’s true, Lamajoun is one of the purest expressions of culinary soul I’ve experienced.
This visit, part of my ethnic food journey with my son who is heading to the college this year, felt like discovering a rare treasure. Make this experience truly memorable between a mother and her son.
