🍦 THE LAST SCOOP: Our Annual Fundraiser for Morning Star
It’s time for our yearly end-of-season tradition! Help us empty the freezers at Ross Street Ice Cream Co. while supporting Morning Star, Red Deer’s women-only drop-in centre.
📅 September 12 & 13
🍦 All cones and scoops—any size—just $4
⏳ While supplies last!
We normally sell most of our remaining ice cream on the first day, but if there’s anything left, we’ll keep scooping on Sunday.

We’ll also be collecting cash donations and urgently needed supplies for Morning Star.

Their greatest current needs are:

• Socks
• Conditioner
• New women’s underwear in all sizes
• Tampons and other menstrual products
• Body wash

They can also use deodorant, razors, microwaveable ramen and other easy-to-prepare food.

Bring your donations to Ross Street Ice Cream Co., enjoy one last scoop of the season and help us fill Morning Star’s shelves! ❤️

🍦 Something sweet is coming back…
We’re getting ready to announce the 4th annual Ross Street Ice Cream Co. fundraiser for Morning Star Red Deer.
Morning Star provides a safe, welcoming drop-in space for vulnerable women in our community, along with showers, laundry, outreach, basic necessities and connections to other supports.

And like we’ve done before, on fundraiser day we keep it ridiculously simple:

ALL SCOOPS. ALL CONES. $3.

No special menu. No complicated rules. Just ice cream, community, and a chance to help support an organization doing important work right here in Red Deer.

We’ll announce the date very soon. ❤️🍦

Apparently our last post caused some very big feelings about ice cream. 🍦😭 We didn’t realize frozen dairy had this kind of emotional range, so naturally we made a dramatic video compilation and added emo music. It felt appropriate. 🖤🎸

Anyway, while everyone works through their feelings, summer is quietly running out. Today’s beautiful, the whole week looks great, and there are only so many ice-cream-eating days left before Alberta remembers who it is and tries to kill us with winter.

So come downtown, get a giant scoop and eat your feelings. It’s cheaper than therapy and significantly more delicious. 🍦🖤

Five years of making ice cream in downtown Red Deer and we’re still learning things from the comment sections.

And one thing we should probably clear up: we are NOT The Little Ice Cream & Soda Shoppe. 😂

They’re the adorable pink ice cream shop at the top of the hill on Ross Street. We’re Ross St. Ice Cream Co. downtown.

Honestly, we understand the confusion — two local ice cream shops, both on Ross Street. And we love what they do. More ice cream is a good thing. There’s no ice cream turf war happening here. 😂🍦🍦

For the record, at Ross St. Ice Cream Co.:

🍦 Our scoops are HUGE
💳 We take debit
📍 We’re downtown on Ross Street
❤️ And somehow, despite what Facebook occasionally predicts, we’ve been here five years
