🎂🩷 BIRTHDAY GIRL, BUT STILL BUSY BAKING! 🩷🎂

It’s my birthday today! 🥳🎉

I started my day with cupcake delivery into town, squeezed in a little shopping at our local This N That, got the most adorable little pumpkins mugs for this kids and I and a few other necessities, picked up some needed baking supplies from the Co-op! Now, my family is outside putting away toys and our summer stuff and I’m back at it, decorating two cakes for tomorrow and going to pop over in a couple hours for our 4-H start up meeting! 🎂🧁

I guess when you’re a small business owner, there’s no such thing as a completely quiet day! 😂❤️ But I love each and every minute of it!

A little birthday shout out to This N That and Co-op for being great local small businesses. 🛍️ Shopping small and supporting local means so much, especially when you’re a small business owner yourself. Every time we choose local, we’re helping support someone’s dream, their family, and their hard work. ❤️

It has been a hot minute since I posted anything I have created over here! 🎂💕 But that’s not to say my oven hasn’t been running, life has just been busy busy!

This cake was created for a sweet little lady turning 11, who LOVES Snoopy and pink! 🩷

🚂 Alllllll Aboard!!! 🚂

🚂❤️ A LATE Local Love Sunday! ❤️🚂

Yesterday was a LONG day, so I’m a day late posting this one! But this little adventure was definitely worth sharing.

We headed down to Ogema, SK for the Southern Prairie Railway Kids’ Funday and had such a fun time! The kids got to ride in a 1922 passenger car all the way to Pangman, being pulled by a 1945 GE engine. You can just imagine the people and adventures that passenger train has seen!

We seen all kinds of amazing railway history, and enjoyed balloon animals, face painting, lunch, ice cream, songs, train car bingo and lots of fun. 🎈🎨 🎶

The staff! My goodness, the most amazing group of people.🤎 You surely can tell they all love what they do! If I am not mistaken most are volunteers also!!

A few fun facts: the railway is Saskatchewan’s first full-sized tourist railway, and the historic train station in Ogema was actually moved from Simpson, SK and restored! 🚂 The train ride also included passes to the Deep South Pioneer Museum, with its 31 historic buildings.

We were all pretty tired (and battling colds 😷), so we didn’t end up exploring the museum this time but our passes are still good, so I think another little trip to Ogema is definitely in our future! ❤️

And if the Kids’ Fun Train isn’t your thing, they have all kinds of themed rides throughout the season!!! Robbery Trains, Settler’s Supper Train, Heritage Train, Prairie Pitchfork Fondue, Texas BBQ Train, Enchanted 9¾, scenic trips to Pangman, Museum Day and more! 🚂 We are looking forward to going back next year for the robbery trains!!! 🐴🤠

I love finding these little Saskatchewan gems and supporting the people who work so hard to preserve our history and create fun family experiences.

A little prairie history, a whole lot of family fun, and another Saskatchewan adventure checked off the list! 🇨🇦❤️

Out moving sheep today when the combine’s came rolling by. 🌾🐑

Just a little reminder that harvest is officially back underway! Wishing all our farmers, families, and everyone working in the fields a very safe and successful harvest season. ❤️

May the weather cooperate, the equipment behave, the bins stay full, and everyone make it home safely at the end of the day. 🚜🌾

And maybe…just maybe, we’ll get a few good days of weather ourselves so we can finally get back out there and finish up our baling! 🤞🌾
