And just like that… summer break is officially over. 🥹🍎📚

Tomorrow kids head back to school, and I’m not quite sure how we got here so fast! Summer flew by, but what a beautiful, busy, memory filled summer it was. ❤️

Wishing all the kiddos, parents, teachers and school staff a wonderful first day back tomorrow! May your coffee be strong and your morning go smoothly tomorrow! ☕️

There is something SO special about watching little ones grow up through my cakes. 🥹🎂💕

I’ve had the absolute honour of making this sweet little girl’s birthday cakes for her 1st, 2nd AND now her 3rd birthday! 🥰

And this year’s cake was a BIG one! 😍🎂 A 4 layer marble cake w/ cookies n’ cream filling!

Three birthdays. Three cakes. And somehow, each one feels even more special than the last. 💕

I truly love getting to be a tiny part of these special milestones and knowing that something I’ve made is sitting on the birthday table, in the photos, and becoming part of the memories that families will look back on for years to come.

This is one of the many reasons I love what I do. ❤️

☕️ A LITTLE LOCAL LOVE ❤️

I have to share this little gem we discovered recently! 🥰

We were heading up to Tisdale to deliver some sheep we had sold. We ended up stopping at a little bakery in Naicam, and I have to say… what an experience! ❤️

The owner, Kim, was absolutely wonderful and even made me a special Vietnamese dish that wasn’t on the menu — and it was SO delicious! 😍 We also had a chicken burger, wings and fries! And of course some donuts and a cinnamon bun! All DELICIOUS!

And then came the Vietnamese iced coffee… ☕️🤤
OH. MY. GOODNESS.
That coffee was to DIE for! I am already planning a special trip back just for another one. 😂 Kim even offered to deliver one each week for me on his way to Regina for supplies! How freaking sweet he is!!!! 🥰

There is just something so special about finding these little local places along the way — good food, wonderful people, and that small-town hospitality that makes you want to come back.

So I had to share a little love for this local business! ❤️ If you’re ever passing through Naicam, put this one on your list! 👏

And I think we’re going to make this a little Sunday tradition here at Darling & Sprout. ❤️
Every Sunday, I want to take a little time to highlight a local business, shop, maker, farmer, or just a wonderful person doing something great in our community!

🎂 3 YEARS OF DARLING & SPROUT! 🎂

I’ve been baking for over 20 years, first for my family and friends, simply because I loved creating sweet treats for the people I cared about. ❤️

Three years ago, I took a leap and made it official, creating Darling & Sprout Cakery and Gifts. What started as something I loved doing for those around me has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of.

These past 3 years have brought so many cakes, cupcakes, cookies, laughs, late nights, happy tears, amazing customers, referrals, and memories. 🥹💕

To every single person who has supported me, whether you’ve placed an order, said hi at a market, shared a post, recommended me to a friend, followed my page, or simply cheered me on from the sidelines—THANK YOU. You have no idea how much it means to me.
