More special zinnia seed heads collected from this separate plot where I have grown every seed saved from one plant I fell in love with last summer. Only three out of over a hundred plants had blooms similar to the parent plant. I grew Lavender zinderella, a smaller but similar flower, trusting the bees would cross pollinate the varieties. Looking forward to seeing what the seeds will produce next summer. I am going to have to be very diligent in removing the ones that don’t fit the criteria. Possibly move them to another garden as not to waste them. We shall see what summer 2027 me will have time & energy for.
