Hey Friends!

Fourteen years ago, I purchased Queenies Bake Shop with a simple hope: to serve great food, great coffee, and become part of this incredible community.

Tomorrow, we celebrate our 14th anniversary, and as we begin our 15th year in business, we simply want to say thank you.

Through the highs, the challenges, covid, construction, and everything in between, Port Hope has supported us in ways we could never have imagined. We are truly grateful for every customer who has walked through our doors, shared a coffee with a friend, celebrated life's milestones with our baking, or simply made Queenies part of their day.

As a small way of giving back, tomorrow only — Thursday, July 23 — everything at Queenies will be Pay What You Can.

If you can pay full price, wonderful. If you need a little help, that's okay too. We believe everyone deserves a good meal, a great coffee, and a welcoming place to gather.

Thank you for 14 amazing years. Here's to the next chapter, and to many more memories together.

Hey Friends,

If you were downtown today, you may have noticed us hard at work on the Queenies Rock Garden. There is still a lot of work to do. This is where you come in.

We are hoping that our wonderful local artists help replenish our rock garden. Seems our rocks have dwindled during the winter. We will be painting many rocks over the next few weeks, but we could use your help. Feel free to drop off some beautifully painted rocks to add to the downtown charm.

Queenies has been named the 2026 Canadian Choice Award winner for Bakeries and we couldn’t be more grateful.

This recognition is because of our amazing community — the regulars, the first-timers, the folks who come in “just looking” and leave with a box. Your support means everything to us.

Well Friends…

We did it again. The 14th Annual Queenies Toy Drive is officially wrapped, and once again this community proved that when it comes to generosity, you are always there to step up to the sleigh.

For weeks, Queenies became the official toy headquarters, and somehow you all managed to fill it to the brim (and then some). Time and time again, I watched people walk in saying, “Just dropping off a toy,” and walk out with a giant smile on their face. The stack grew, the smiles overflowed, and our available floor space disappeared at an alarming rate.

This drive works because of you — the donors, volunteers, families, and supporters, and of course my staff, who continue to show up year after year. You made sure kids wake up Christmas morning with something special under the tree, and you did it with big hearts and big laughs.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making year 14 unforgettable. Rest up, stretch out those shopping muscles, and enjoy the calm… because something tells me Queenies will be packed with toys all over again next year. 🎄❤️
