We Tried to Do a Taste Test… 😂🍵

No script, just the two of us trying to introduce our upgraded Matcha Cheesecake… and ending up just eating it! 😂

We’ve changed our matcha powder, and look at that beautiful deep green colour! 💚

We’re now using Rindou from SenchaMatcha 鮮茶乜茶, a matcha powder from Uji, Kyoto, Japan.

Rindou has a stronger bitterness, so you can still really taste the matcha even when it’s mixed with cream cheese and mascarpone.

If you find it a little too bitter, try it with the sweet biscuit crust. They balance each other perfectly!

Rich, creamy, not too sweet, and full of matcha flavour. Perfect for a little dessert treat! 🍵

Hi, we’re David & Tamae! 👋🤍

We’re the husband-and-wife team behind Boule Carre, a small local bakery in the Tri-Cities.

David, our chef, is French 🇫🇷 and Tamae is Japanese 🇯🇵. David has learned and developed his craft in France, Japan, and Montreal, bringing a little bit of each place into what we create today.

Two years ago, we finally took the leap and started our own little bakery together. 🥐

Since then, we’ve been baking, learning, meeting so many wonderful people at markets, and slowly growing our little business.

And this summer, with the support of Fat Dragon Eatery, we were finally able to take another big step — opening our very first storefront pop-up, just two days a week. 🤍

We’re still a very small bakery, and there’s a long way to go, but we’re so excited to see where this journey takes us.

To everyone who has visited us, ordered from us, or simply followed along — thank you for being here.
