Ever since I was a kid I’ve had a passion for cooking and baking. At the age of 15 I started a part time business selling cakes to people in my home town. The positive feedback I got back from my cakes paired with my passion for cake design began my journey into pursuing this as a career. After I completed my education at Algonquin College for Business Management and Entrepreneurship, I took a Cak

It’s been a while since I’ve properly re introduced myself so hi 💛

I’m Meganne, the heart and hands behind Butter Dream Cakes.

This little business is truly a one woman show from baking and decorating to emails, dishes, and everything in between and I genuinely love every part of it.

What makes me happy is pretty simple
time spent in the kitchen, setting up cakes, cooking and baking, quiet moments, time with my family, my dog, and being outside in nature.

I was born in Belleville and raised in Prince Edward County. I’ve always felt deeply connected to this community. Baking has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, inspired by my grandma whose kitchen gave me some of my favourite memories and taught me that food is love.

Butter Dream Cakes grew slowly, organically, and with a lot of heart and I’m so grateful I get to create for people during their most meaningful moments.
