A very special little lady turned 1 over the weekend and I had the pleasure of making this cute little slice for her. Chocolate cake with a chocolate buttercream frosting on the inside, marshmallow fondant on the outside. Handmade fondant flowers topped with a golden 1 made out of rice crispies! Her mother was sweet enough to send me some pictures of the birthday girl and her demolished cake, happy to say she loved it!

This week I had the amazing opportunity to create a mermaid themed cake for a very special little girl’s 4th birthday! This was a miracle chocolate cake with French vanilla buttercream. Her mom and I even decided to add a little surprise centre full of her favourite candy, smarties! This cake was so much fun to make!

As promised, here it is. Sweet Hart Cake Designs first official contest! I know it has been a really hard year for all of us and wanted to do a little something fun to give back.
