After nearly two decades, Life Of Pie is now officially closed. We want to thank all of our supporters, community members, wonderful customers, and friends and family.
Without your help and continued support none of this would have been possible. We are grateful that we have been able to make things that were enjoyed on many occasions, from a simple tasty treat to large holiday gatherings. Truly, words cannot express how much your heartfelt comments, conversations, and letters mean to us. It is a beautiful yet sad feeling, to be missed like this. Thank you all so much!

However, Life Of Pie won’t be out of your homes forever. We are excited to officially announce the Life Of Pie Cookbook! Owner Kerry Duffy and her son Daniel Romaniuk will be compiling all kinds of favourite treats and delights from our catalogue, And reducing the recipe sizes of course. (Our Tourtère recipe makes 15 entire pies at once!)

With the release date to be determined, we are hoping to get the book out sometime in the next 6 months. We will announce it on our instagram with one final post. It will be on sale throughout the neighborhood (and maybe online!) if you are interested in know exactly when it will be ready, please send us an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Life of Pie Cookbook”

Happy Christmas Eve! Please remember to be kind to the people who serve you and who answer the phone.
We have been baking around the clock but everything is selling very quickly. We are busy making more and appreciate your patience.
Also, If you have orders for today please pick up before 3:00 as we will not be holding them past that time.

Firstly, we would love to thank everyone for the kind messages and thoughts. It’s been lovely hearing how much our food and goodies mean to you and a beautiful feeling knowing how our bakery has affected our community.

We would also like to quell some speculation (we heard some imaginative ones!) by saying we are closing as the owners are retiring.

As for the bakery, our last day is the 28th but for December 24th we close at 5pm but are not holding any orders past 3pm. So for those of you who have orders, please come before! (And those who don’t, come after) our order book is full so we won’t make any new reservations.
we will still be making tons of goodies, but everything is first come first serve.

We are at Great Bowls of Fire at the Glebe Community Centre today! It’s an annual charity event to raise funds for the Ottawa Food Bank, Life of Pie and a ton of other local businesses and potters have donated their time, soups and handmade bowls to support the cause. We are here with a Coconut Curry Chickpea Soup~

Tomorrow is Pi day! Pi is a mathematical constant, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, which equals 3.14159265….(continuing infinitely) so March 14th is Pi(e) day! To celebrate we are doing our annual Pi day special, one slice for $3.14! (Triple Berry Crisp, one per person) Appreciation for math never tasted so good 😊
