Late Sylvia Dias Jayasinha (nee van Cuylenburg) departed 6 years ago - December 29, 2017.

Sylvia, you my beautiful one and only sister though we are apart, your spirit lives within me. The images of your smiling face linger in my memory and the notes of your laughter linger in my soul.
You'll always be with me in my heart darling Syl. I love and miss you so much.

As I woke up this morning with you on my mind I remembered singing this hymn to you in 2014 and you thought it incredible that I still remembered the words since we sang it when we were very young children at St Margaret’s Convent.

The day thou gavest, Lord, is ended,
The darkness falls at thy behest;
To thee our morning hymns ascended,
Thy praise shall sanctify our rest.

Born today in a humble backdrop is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords to bring peace to our anxious minds and to heal our aching hearts.

The Bible says, "Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men"(Luke 2:14)

Yes, we have relationships that trouble us. There are people with whom we may be difficult to get along with. Remember, peace is a practice, not hope. Therefore, let us be a facilitator of peace and take every effort to live in peace with "all" regardless of what anyone says or does for the onus is on us to be at peace with all men. Amen.
