September 1st = Fall vibes right?

Summer was a fun-filled, chaotic whirlwind but I'm happily settling back into the back-to-school routine. I'm in no rush to say goodbye to the nice weather but I spotted some leaves changing and I'm excited to get back to fall flavours & baking.

This is what happens when the Minecraft & StarCraft worlds collide.

We celebrated both our boys over the weekend so they collaborated on this joint cake. My oldest even made all his own StarCraft fondant decorations 🥰

It was simple, relatively easy & they loved it. Proof that you don't need to overthink or go over-the-top to make your kids happy.....I went extra on the party activities and decor instead 😜

Pinch me moment 🥰

I was absolutely honoured when my dear friend of over 20 years asked if I would make her wedding cake. The challenge: her fiancé wasn't a cake fan 😲

We landed on a cinnamon roll cake: vanilla cake with a cinnamon sugar swirl and an actual cinnamon bun as the middle layer. It all came together with orange infused cream cheese frosting & decorated with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream flowers. I'm happy to say we won him over!! 😃

Thank you J&S for including me in your special day. It was such a wonderful experience and it was an absolute joy watching you tie the knot ❤️

Celebrated our baby girl's birthday over the weekend with a whimsical fairy party 🧚‍♀️🥳✨

All she asked for in the cake department was strawberries so we opted for a DIY biscuit shortcake bar. I also spent the week before living out my crafting dreams by preparing a potion station, making bejeweled bubble wands (prototype to final product shown) and other goodies to share with our friends & family. All and all, a great day that wasn't as well documented as it probably should have been.
