7 markets, 80 deliveries, 175 boxes and 12,000 cookies... Well, it's been an adventure to say the least. As our family has expanded and other projects have emerged, we have made the excruciatingly painful decision to close this chapter in our lives. It is always bittersweet to close a door in order to open another, but this one especially proved difficult.

For a year and a half, we enjoyed serving our neighbours in the Ottawa/Gatineau area and bringing joy through our baked goods. Something Sweeter was a passion project for us and we strongly believed in supporting this community with quality treats Ottawans deserved.

None of this, of course, would have been possible without your support. We feel immensely lucky and grateful to have been able to serve our community. Thank you and we wish you all the best in the new year.

Unlike Cinderella, the Gingerella doesn't need a fairy Godmother to turn into something fab-u-lous. 🧚‍♀️

A delight of the mightiest height!

Another one of our new flavours, Pistachi-ohs, just wants to be your new go-to treat. Inspired by the flavours of Istanbul, this cookie has it all, browned butter, with honeyed tones and the rich taste of dry roasted pistachios and a hint of salt. One bite and you'll be transported to a café in Eminönü, sipping Turkish tea with the locals.

Twist and bark! Cinnamon bun, but make it cookies.

One of our newest flavours, "My Buns" is ready to be your favourite flavour. Loaded with the buttery goodness of the perfect weekend cinnamon bun folded in with generous amounts of hand grated cinnamon. We topped this cookie off with the lightest drizzle of our in-house icing sure to take you back to your childhood.

And just like that, our last box of Christmas/Holiday treats went out the door yesterday. With that, Something Sweeter will be closing until the New Year (January 4th). 🎊🎉

The leaves are changing and so are we!

With ringing endorsements from our lucky customers today at the York Street Farmers' Market, the fall flavours are officially live! Our new menu includes two spring/summer favourites and four (yes, we said FOUR!) all new flavours.

Our Fall Variety Monsters will now include:

* I Like You A Latte;
* Hello Gourdgeous;
* How 'Bout Them Apples;
* Not So Classic; and,
* Crème Brouhaha.

Through the coming week, we will be introducing you to our new flavours. You'll definitely want to see those features, so keep your eyes peeled. 👀

All fall menu flavours are now available on our website and the new fall box is ready to meet you. The Fall Variety Monster replaces our regular Variety Monster.

It's that time of year! While everyone has been sheltering from the heat these past few days, we've been busy in the kitchen whipping up all NEW flavours for the brand new FALL MENU! 🍁🍂

Our Summer menu will continue to run until September 9th when we will switch over to the fall menu. Keep your eyes peeled for the flavour releases leading up to September 9th!
