Steps Off The Street is a volunteer led outreach organization in Ottawa that help support people experiencing homelessness and addiction. Their mission and the support they provide to Ottawa’s vulnerable community is so important and deeply inspiring to me.

I was so happy to have the opportunity to donate a cake for a charity auction event they were participating in. It means so much to have been able to give a small contribution to the amazing work they do.

2 cakes gone out over the weekend 🤩

The first cake is a 2 layer 6 inch lemon cake with strawberry jam filling and lemon vanilla buttercream 🎂✨
The second is a 3 layer 8 inch red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting 🧁

I’m bringing back my cookie box sale but make it Easter! 🐣

My spring cookie offerings are pictured:
1. Mini Egg Chocolate Chip
2. Brown Butter Banana Bread
3. Carrot Cake Stuffed with Cheesecake Filling

The standard box will come as a dozen with 4 cookies of each flavour as pictured above, however, the boxes are customizable and if any of my classics are your fave, you can customize as needed! I’ve also attached my menu with my classics.

Oreo Overload cookie prep 🍪🤍

Never overlook the importance of having a system in place for your cookie prep so each time your cookies can be as similar as possible to the previous batch! Since moving to my new place I’ve been playing around with my new oven and trying to figure out the perfect baking time for each item. Always learning in this bizzzz 🫡

My name is Tori Hillier and I am a Newfie living in Ottawa. I discovered my passion for baking a few years ago and have been developing my skills and creativity. In 2025, I had some great orders from clients and friends and spent a lot of time developing my cake decorating techniques and recipe testing.
