Well summer weather has arrived!!
Typically this time of year prompts a scurry of crash dieting or procrastination.
❌ Some resort to extreme dietary measures or over-exercising in an attempt to slim down for summer.
❌ Others decide that it's too late and put off their healthy efforts until September.
However, contrary to popular belief, you CAN lose weight during the summer months without giving up all of your favorite foods or missing out on seasonal enjoyment.
To be honest, I find summer to be an ideal time to lose weight.
💧Most people drink more water as the temperatures rise.
🍽 Some people notice that their appetite decreases in the heat so they naturally eat smaller portions.
🏃♀️ With the arrival of warm weather, many are eager to get outside and enjoy nature. This normally encourages people to be more active (walking, biking, hiking, swimming etc.) and increases their daily calorie burn.
🥗 Finally, many prefer fresh salad options in spring and summer rather than the traditional comfort foods we crave during fall and winter months.
