You are paying for the cost to make the cake, the tray and box it comes in and a fee of 10-20 depending on the decoration, size and time it takes to make it.... YOU must PICK UP, if I drop off you will be charged an extra $10.00 for a deli
very fee as I will have to find some one to take me to drop it off with in Orillia. Once I get my license and yes I am working on getting my full license there will be a $5.00 fee within orillia for drop off .
*** I would like to announce, that I have talked to my church and I have set it up that every cake I sell at $35.00 or more, I will give Family services a Voucher to give a needy family to use and receive a free birthday cake for a child/ teen/ adult in the family. There is no need for them to do a whole fill out this application form to see if you qualify deal. If you were given a voucher I dont ask for your income or anything, I ask what they would like as a theme and you will have a custom cake to feed up to 10 people max.*** I am donating my profits back into my home church to others who can't afford a cake. To show the break down what you are paying for in a custom $35.00 basic cake;
Flour $1.50
Eggs 3 $.75
Milk 2c $1.00
Oil 1/4c $.50
Baking Powder $ .75
Salt $. 05
Vanilla extract $.25
Shortening $.20
Coco or lemon/ strawberry flavor $. 75
Butter $3.00
Icing sugar $2.50
Food colouring $.75
Box and Board $6.00
Total = $18.00 + I put $5.00 aside for wear on pans, and other gadgets for making cakes cookies etc = $23.00
Profit $12.00 this is what I am using to make the people in need a small "8 inch cake. So honestly I am doing all of this for fun because Its what I like doing:) All the materials are covered in the cost and its helping out those in need in our community:)
