Bakery is a warm, homey cupcake and custom cake bakery nestled in the heart of Bronte Harbour, Oakville. Cupcakes are our specialty– we bake twelve flavours every day in both regular size and mini cupcakes, along with a variety of other handmade-from-scratch treats. Our cakes are always fresh and covered in delectable buttercream, never fondant.

Today's 15-year nostalgia- the real heart of the business, and best part of the last 15 years: all the wonderful humans I've employed.
28 women (yeah, all women, sorry dudes!) From all different backgrounds and places. Some of the very best people I've known and still know. Most of whom, after leaving, either came back to work or help out, or offered to. Friendships made over hilarious conversations, icing sugar explosions, cake batter mishaps, meltdowns, finger injuries, unofficial therapy sessions and a million cupcakes, cookies, butter tarts, cakes. Women I'm so proud of, who moved on to do amazing things- become a nurse, high end pastry chef, bad business bitch or forensic investigator (!!), travel the world, get married, leave bad relationships, adopt pets, have families.
I have learned something from every single one of you, and had the best time working by your sides. Thank you.

Literally hundreds of unicorns. 2-tier, 3-tier, cake-drunk, triplets, cupcakes, ones big eyes, ones with little eyes, every imaginable colour combo, zombie, even a narwhal (unicorn of the sea?) They may have gotten a little repetitive eventually, but looking back, I still kiiiinda love all these guys. Especially that cake-drunk one 😍

To kick off anniversary week, my favourite thing I get to do: cupcake flavours. 🧁🧁

From day one, the thing about owning a bakery that I have fun with the most is inventing flavours. Creating an unusual flavour combination, turning another dessert, drink or food into a cupcake or putting a spin on a classic. Nothing gets me more excited, or is more satisfying when it's ready.

This grid is composed of *120* of the unique flavours we've created over the last 15 years (and I actually think it's missing some!)
