Ube Cookies

Have you tried my Ube cookies? I mean let's be serious - these cookies are my favourite! You'll hear me push these at markets because lots of people haven even had an Ube anything.

What is Ube?
Purple sweet potato my friends. And it's amazing.

These cookies are a process. There is no white the up as they take days to make or a least one long one. The purple colour comes from the potatoes themselves so you're welcome I have made a healthy cookie 😆 well until I stuff them cream cheese 😉

Find them at the market this weekend Saturday 8-12 in Norwood

At the pantry? There will be brown butter chocolate chip cookies - making the choices simple folks!

Introducing our new product!

Hylda's House Hylda's House is modelled after my Nan Hylda May Hankinson - the wife of an Architect (who designed CF Toronto Eaton Centre among others throughout Canada 😉) a 1950's house wife, War Bride, WREN, seamstress. A lady who loved Christmas, travelling and entertaining.

My grandparents always seemed so glamorous when I was a child and I loved every minute of being around them.

In our house I've been trying to make whatever I can to eliminate the use of chemicals and processed items.

I decided it would be a fun thing to add to the pantry, on the website and make some to send to a few stores I'm in.

So here we are as I am up for the pantry opening this weekend with our first feature product - all natural cleaning products with a 50's flare 🙌

You know there was a time I never knew how to decorate a cake, a time I had never picked up a piping bag, a time I had no idea what fondant was. I honestly thought I’d be asking people what they bought on their vacation, how long they were gone and did they stop at the duty free as most of them tried to lie to my unwavering face for the rest of my life.

Seems like a lifetime ago….this cake was made for the owner of Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort years ago and I’m still super proud of how this turned out ✌️. Don’t give up, everyone has to start somewhere and your only limits are the ones you set for yourself.

There was a time where all I did was kids cakes - at my height of this before we moved from Niagara was 11 week, up till 5am back up at 7am some days, stress, small kiddo and even for some time I was still working as a customs officer. It was insane but a lot of kids got some pretty fun cakes ✌️

I’m sorry Norwood, I’ll never work on that level again lol. But this is one of those cakes, I have a pile that are not posted yet so in the next few weeks I’ll do some catching up ❤️

She's painted and almost ready to go! Have you driven by the blue pantry yet? Keep your eye peeled the next week as we get ready to launch this baby with some fall stocked awesomeness 🙌

You've all been waiting for this! What a wild summer with road construction and tons of weddings the pantry was just not happening till now lol

SO starting the first weekend in Sept the pantry will open as the weather cools and fall starts rolling in

This will be open Friday/Saturday/Sunday from 9 till 4

Over the next week I will elaborate more why will be out there and to be kept up to date head to the website and sign up for emails, check here

I will leave a contact number should there be issues as it is based on an honour system but please don't go roaming around the property - we have an old pup who simply doesn't like strangers. He's NOT friendly if he doesn't know you - We are having a bit of an issue with people randomly popping in and walking around when I'm closed. We still live here and I know people are excited but it's extremely stressful to have people just poking around the buildings and the check out the trailer etc. it needs to be addressed 😉

SO the driveway will be blocked off during those times please carefully use the end of the driveway or the road to pop in and shop. The pantry is at the end of the road so there's no need to head up the driveway :)

That being said excited to get this rolling!

Next up is Sept 5th & 24th Norwood markets
Pre-order for Thanksgiving goes up mid Oct and I'll be at the fair Thanksgiving also!

Macarons 💕

These little boxes sets headed out and some were mixed with mini cupcakes, others just full box sets. Chocolate, salted caramel, strawberry earl grey, pistachio, hazelnut, raspberry all packaged up in beautiful window boxes.

I thrive on presentation, give gifts that make your guests feel amazing 💕
