Registration is open for our Sourdough Pumpkin Workshop, running September 13 and 27!

We got asked all the time whether these loaves were for sale. They were not, and the reason was simple: every one was shaped and scored carefully by hand, and that kind of work does not fit into a production schedule. Teaching it is the better answer.

Date night, a centrepiece for your holiday table, or a new seasonal item for your own baking menu, this class works for all of it. You will shape and score your own sourdough pumpkins and head home with two loaves. Pumpkin spice lattes served throughout.

Small business owners, watch for this one.

Someone contacted us claiming they found a hair in a dozen cupcakes. Here is what did not add up:

Blocked phone number
No date of purchase
Said they paid cash, so no record
Would not come to the store
Sent an email address for an e-transfer, and offered not to leave a bad review in exchange

We replied asking for proof of purchase, photos of the product, and asked them to come in. We never heard from them again.

If someone demands money and dangles a review over your head, that is not a customer. Ask for proof. Keep everything in writing. Do not pay.

Our door is always open to a real complaint, with a real receipt.
