Hi cake fam 🙋🏼‍♀️

I know it’s been a long minute (very long) since you’ve seen or heard from NOTC, so I thought it might be time for a little update!

The last year has been overwhelmingly wonderful!

As much as I had hoped to get back to baking relatively quick, I decided to take some extra time to enjoy all the ups & downs of motherhood and soak it all in.

Just before having Logan, I was averaging 15 orders a week on top of working full time. Needless to say, this “break” was needed and was the best thing for our family. While I miss so much being a part of your special moments in life, I’m sure you can understand how spending time together was top priority.

With that being said, we’ve got a lot going on around here. My return to work is quickly approaching AND we’re about to start a major addition to our home. What does that mean for NOTC? Well, unfortunately we will remain closed for custom orders for the next little while.

I hope to get back in the kitchen, taking on your orders very soon! I am also hoping I am able to do up some week of flash sales once or twice a month in the meantime. Should there be anything you’d like to see in a flash sale, let me know!

As always, I appreciate your understanding and support of this little business of mine. After all, you’re the reason I enjoy this gig!!

I may be taking a bit of a break, but I couldn’t help myself from creating a few treats for the guests of my baby shower this past weekend! Some extra time allowed for some new things to happen, like these delicious mini pavlovas!

Soft meringue, filled with a blood orange curd and garnished with some dried orange slices. Not only did they look so perfect on the desert table, they tasted even better!!

Time sure has been flying by!

This past weekend, I packed up the final custom NOTC cakes for the next few months… very bittersweet!

With that being said, just a small reminder I will be closing orders temporarily until September as we prepare to welcome our first child this May!!

I will be checking/responding to inquiries still, but may not be as frequent.. so please be patient. 2023 orders will open in December.

Wondering how you’ll get your NOTC fix during this time? I hope to be able to offer some flash sales/dates come summer time, so please keep your eyes open.

Thank you all for your understanding and never ending support and I begin this very exciting new chapter! I will be sure to keep you posted on all the exciting things happening in & out of the kitchen over the next few months.

It’s hard to remember caking before letter/number cakes! As I start to slow down a bit and prepare to take some time off, I find myself scrolling through my camera roll finding letter after letter, number after number with a 6” round or wedding cake nestled in here and there!

It’s crazy how things go, and I’m so thankful for all your love for these little(not actually) cakes! And although I love creating these special cakes, there is something to be said about the creativity you’re able to give to a more “traditional” cake!

I’m excited to see what the trends are in a couple of months, do you think letter/numbers will still be it!? 🤔

Weddings. Something I didn’t plan on really getting into, as I do prefer to create small celebration cakes. However, this past summer I challenged myself to take on a couple tiered cakes, this one being the largest!

I still have a lot to learn when it comes to large cakes (a lot) and now more than ever I admire those who create beauties like this daily! I am happy to have challenged myself and to have expanded my portfolio.

This summer is bittersweet, as I begin to prepare for our first child, I can’t help but think of all the wonderful couples I’ll miss out on meeting and working with. I know though, this short closure will be well worth it 💕

We’re baking up something extra sweet!!

You may have noticed I’ve been a little MIA lately on all platforms, and it’s for a good reason… I’m so excited to share with you, we’re expecting our first child this May!!

What does that mean for NOTC?

Well, as a one-woman show it may be difficult to keep operations open. So, with that being said - I’ll be closing custom orders temporarily from April-September to allow us to get acquainted with our little one and enjoy some quality time together.

For the month of April, while custom orders will be closed, be on the look out for flash sales & the Easter menu!

As for the remainder of the closure, you may notice a few flash sales sneak their way in so keep your eyes open for those.

I appreciate all your love, support & understanding during this time. While it is a very exciting time for us, I will definitely miss being a part of your special celebrations!
