Local Farmer Spotlight: Lina's Garden

This month, our Veggie Pizza is featuring beautiful organic garlic scapes grown by the amazing folks at Lina's Garden! We carefully pickle the garlic scapes with a touch of mustard seeds, creating a bright, tangy flavour that pairs perfectly with our handcrafted pizza.

Artist Bios:

Fionaliza is a classically trained cellist who enjoys live improvisation, engaging in collaborative projects and recording her original music. Her latest music video, Embodied Waves was filmed in Kokanee Provincial Park with videographer Kale Beaudry. Drawing inspiration from diverse musical landscapes, her multi-layered compositions are emotionally rich, cinematic and ethereal. Originally from Ottawa, Fiona graduated from UOttawa receiving a Faculty of Arts plaque for the highest standing in the BMUS program. After arriving in Nelson in 2019, her artistic vision has continued to unfold, including learning live looping and recording an album.

Colby Greaves is a pianist, multi-instrumentalist and composer originating from the West Kootenays. His love for different styles of music allow him to bring unique colours of musical expression to his artistic palette. He began his journey from a young age in school bands to later studying music at the Selkirk Music program in Nelson BC. In the span of two summers between studies he was delighted to be in the role of a pianist, actor and composer for the Rossland Gold Fever Follies. In this time Colby has derived a deep devotion towards mixing, sound design and composition. As an artist he wishes to express and enhance the narrative of life with the intention of learning about one another and sharing stories.
