Behind the sweets...

Ever since I was just a kid, I've always had a sweet tooth. Every time my family got together, I'd look forward to dessert because I couldn't wait to sneak a little taste of icing with my pudgy fingers and then dig into the enormously "small" piece of cake my Nonna would cut for me. I grew up with my grandparents always cooking or baking in the house. I remember watching my Nonna roll her gnocchis or take cookies fresh out of the oven (which I would then, of course, try to secretly eat). These are the reasons why I started baking; they're memories that I hold close to me.

What I like most about the pastry world is the decorative side, and how it is always present on the most important days of people's lives. I like how even a simple cake can make a person smile from ear to ear.

With this desire to bring joy and make people's days a little brighter, I started to bake. At first, I made small things, like simple cupcakes, later moving on to more elaborate wedding cakes. I hope to continue feeling the joy I had as a kid by sharing my talents with others and celebrating their milestones with one of my creations.
