Before you assume your CRS score is stuck, check your NOC! 👀

Starting November 3, 2026, eligible candidates could receive 20, 40 or 70 additional CRS points for qualifying Canadian work experience in listed high-wage occupations.

Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, physiotherapists and medical technologists—this is an update worth checking carefully! 🩺

✅ You need at least 12 months of qualifying Canadian work experience in eligible high-wage occupations.
✅ Your exact National Occupational Classification (NOC) and its wage tier matter.
✅ The tier is based on the occupation’s median wage—not your personal salary.

⚠️ Working in healthcare does not automatically qualify you. Check your exact NOC against IRCC’s official list and confirm all requirements before claiming points.

Canada’s new rules take effect November 3, 2026, with extra points for eligible high-wage occupations. Here’s what you need to know! 👇

✅ CANADIAN WORK EXPERIENCE
At least one year of qualifying experience in eligible high-wage occupations could earn you 20, 40 or 70 additional points, depending on the occupation’s wage tier.

✅ QUALIFYING JOB OFFERS
An eligible job offer in a high-wage occupation could earn 50, 70 or 100 points.

📌 Before you add them together: IRCC will award whichever option gives you more points—Canadian work experience OR a qualifying job offer. These two options are not combined.

💡 Eligibility depends on your occupation’s median wage and NOC classification—not simply your personal salary. (canada.ca⁠)

✅ LMIA REQUIREMENT REMOVED
Qualifying job offers will no longer need a Labour Market Impact Assessment for these Express Entry points. Offers must still meet IRCC requirements and be genuine.

Before paying for training, check what employers in your target field actually ask for.

Here are 5 certifications and training options worth exploring wherever you live in Canada! Some may be available through free or funded programs. 👇🏾

1️⃣ CPR & FIRST AID
Interested in healthcare, childcare or caregiving? Employers may require specific first aid and CPR qualifications.

📌 Ask which level and training provider they accept before registering.

2️⃣ FOOD HANDLER CERTIFICATE
Considering restaurants, catering, kitchens or food preparation jobs? Food safety training could help you meet an employer’s requirements.

📌 Choose a certificate accepted by your local public health authority. Requirements vary by location and role.

3️⃣ FORKLIFT OPERATOR TRAINING
Targeting warehouses, manufacturing or distribution centres? Forklift training may be relevant to the positions you’re applying for.

You moved abroad to give your children a different life… but nobody told you that YOU might become a different parent too. 🌍❤️

You packed your clothes, documents and dreams.

But you also carried the parenting lessons you grew up with—what respect looks like, how children should behave and how parents should respond.

Then little moments start making you think.

Your child asks, “Why?”
Do you hear a challenge—or a genuine question?

They say, “That hurt my feelings.”
Can you listen while still holding your boundary?

You lose your patience.
Can you say, “I’m sorry for shouting,” and still expect them to follow the rules?
