Hi everyone!

I’m running (walking, let’s be honest 😂) with my kids tomorrow in the Terry Fox Run! For my mom, who I lost back in May. She was only 59. She passed away 5 days after finding that she had metastatic cancer 💔 and 10 days after I had my 4th baby 😞 This year made me realize how important cancer research, screening and early detection is. I’d do anything to give more families more time & hope.

I had plans to make cancer awareness ribbon cookies for this weekend but my twin sister had a baby yesterday so didn’t get a chance to make them! But if you’d be inclined to donate or even share this link, me and my family would appreciate it 🙏 ❤️

Tomorrow I meet class number five. That’s so crazy to say.

You’d think by now I wouldn’t be nervous. Nope. I’m excited, nervous, and this year, a little sad too..

It’ll be my first ‘first day’ without my dad here to cheer me on, and I’m feeling that one a bit more than I expected.

But tomorrow there’ll be a room full of new faces, names to learn, and a whole new group of students I get to know, teach and learn from for the next year. 💛

So… here we go again.

And obviously I needed first day of school cookies from Iced by Em! I mean… LOOK AT THEM !? 😭😭

Happy 2026-2027 school year, everyone!!
