Hi ! I’m Jessica, the baker behind bakedgoodsbyjess. I’m a mom of 2 lovely boys that keep me on my toes, my house a mess and our days full of love, laughter and discovery!
I’ve always been passionate about three things; my faith, teaching and baking. It’s been a dream of mine, ever since high school to open up a bakery but over the years life happened and well life is busy!
My husband LOVES dessert especially chocolate and my eldest son, Isaiah, shares the same sweet tooth! Ever since Isaiah was 1.5 years old I’ve shared my love for baking with him. It is pure joy to bake with my number 1 fan! So for two years Isaiah’s requested cookies (chocolate chip is his favourite), cakes (chocolate again is his favourite) and then one day he asked me for a cookie and a cake . That got me thinking … why can’t we bake a cookie cake? And so we did. With the first bite, his eyes widened and our world was changed forever. Cookie cakes is a thing at our house and well, filling it with Nutella and topping it with EVEN MORE chocolate and flavours is just what we do BEST!
I’ve received a lot of questions lately and most of them go like this … “why are you doing this?” “Aren’t you already busy with two kids?” “Are you quitting your job?” And the answer is, why not! I know I am blessed with a busy house and believe me, I am grateful. So so so grateful. It’s just, when I bake I am Jessica. Just Jessica. In my own element, doing my thing 🌟 And the fact that I can share this love, this passion with my favourite people and with YOU is even better !
So with a humble and grateful heart I thank YOU for following/joining me in this sweet journey and here’s to more cookies, baked goods and lots and lots of LOVE 🍫🍫🙏🏻🙏🏻
