You know it's going to be a good day when it starts with a couple slices of sourdough from πβοΈ
This particular sourdough is our Sesame-Crusted, which is coated in organic sesame seeds for a lovely toasted and nutty flavour and is loaded with nutrients, vitamins, minerals, protein and fibre!
Six components go into making this loaf really special:
1. Fresh-stone milled organic bread flour from in Fergus, ON.
2. Our organic 12 grain flour is blended in-bakehouse using organic flours from 1847 Stone Milling and (organic whole wheat flour, organic whole grain spelt flour, organic whole grain rye flour, organic whole grain barley flour, organic whole grain khorasan flour, organic whole grain buckwheat flour) and a blend of organic seeds & grains (organic whole grain oat flakes, organic brown flax seeds, organic white quinoa, organic amaranth seeds, organic raw sunflower seeds and organic hulled millet).
3. Organic sesame seeds.
4. A high-quality fine sea salt from - hand-harvested sea salt off the stunning coast of Vancouver Island.
5. Filtered water.
6. Our 100% natural levain (sourdough starter), a very key component in the fermentation process (~26 hours), which makes for easier digestion. A happy, healthy gut = a happy, healthy you! π€
