Hello it’s me! It has been a while.

I am really enjoying my time as a home daycare provider and after some time realized there just isn’t enough time in the day to open back up my A.Baker business. So it’s time for me to let some things go.

I am working on clearing out my stock and am going to do a huge sale Tuesday July 25th at 8:00 pm. I want to see it all go so prices will be slashed big time!

How it will work.
❤️ all items will be posted in my instagram stories for sale.
❤️ first message I receive for the item will get it. I will let you know if you were the one to get it or if it’s already sold. Some things I will have multiple of. It will be posted in the stories how many I have for sale.
❤️ e-transfer must be sent tomorrow night to ensure your purchase
❤️ pick up will be available on Friday July 28th in Seaforth, Arthur and Inverhaugh.
❤️ All sales are final

This is not an easy post for me to write. A.Baker Learning Through Play has helped me grow as an early childhood educator and I have enjoyed every moment. However with starting up my home daycare it has taken a lot of my time and energy and I’m finding that the orders that come in are just taking me too long to complete.

As of right now I will be closing A.Baker Learning Through Play until further notice. I am hopeful that in the new year I will find more time to work on my small business again, however the model will look differently. 🤞🏻If you have already placed an order with me don’t worry it will still be fufilled.

The website is still active for .create.resinate, and .grace06 items, however you will notice most of the A.Baker Learning Through Play items are SOLD OUT.

This being said I have committed to a few vendor events this fall and I will be attending those. I will post here when and where we will be.

If you wish to follow along I will continue to post the activities I set out for my daycare kiddos for inspiration.

A new chapter is beginning for me… A.Baker Learning Through Play does Home Daycare! 🍎

While this wasn’t the original plan, I am so excited for this new adventure. This allows me to be home with my youngest for a couple more years and I’ll be home for bus pick up and drop off for my oldest headed to JK.

I look forward to sharing with you on this page all the fun activities we get up to!

I will still be accepting orders as normal. Just please be patient in the next few weeks as we welcome new families into our home and get settled. Orders may take a little longer then normal.

One of the activities set up at the kid zone table this weekend was the classic rainbow board with this new rainbow pasta
❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

This is a great activity for practising those fine motor skills. We loved to see all the beautiful rainbows that all the children created with this set!

But that’s not all this rainbow pasta is good for. Use it for patterning, sorting, as a sensory base, crafting, and more! I personally can’t wait to make an ocean sensory bin and use the colourful pasta as coral 😍

👋🏻🙈 hey! We are here! How is July coming to an end already?!

The past few weeks I have taken a step back to really focus on spending time with my littles and making my last summer before returning to work fun! We have been on all kinds of adventures and we sure are enjoying it.

I have also been working on updating my resume, cover letter and portfolio. With that there has been a lot of thought on what A.Baker Learning Through Play will look like come fall.

One of the options I have been considering is to put together different learning kits for educators and parents to rent for a period of time. An example of a kit may include:

Literacy
🍎 4 alphabet boards
🍎 uppercase and lowercase letters
🍎 sensory materials (rice, chickpeas, playdough you would keep these as they would be replenished each time)
🍎 some ideas of ways to use the materials in your learning setting
🍎 list of connections to the kindergarten curriculum.

There would also be math, science, potentially coding and more kits available.

My question to you is… would there be interest in something like this?

Happy Friday! I know it’s Thursday but hopefully most of you have tomorrow off to spend with your families tomorrow for Canada day.

Today is my sons last day in his preschool classroom and I want to gift his teachers some A.Baker items. What do you think I should gift them with? No peeking Heather and Renee 😜

Hey! It’s me! I’m still here! 😜 here is a picture of my face incase you forgot what I look like 🤣

Does anyone else feel like the warmer weather hits and life gets crazy☀️? From soccer, to swimming lessons, to yard work, to just playing outside with the kids, there are never enough hours in a day lol. I am not complaining I love it but unfortunately my social media has taken a back burner. I’ll do better!

On that note we will be taking a vacation soon and if you look at the website you will notice that it says orders won’t be fufilled until after July 18th. If you need anything before then. Please send me a message and I will see what I have in stock 🥰

I hope everyone is taking some time to enjoy this beautiful weather we have been having!

Bee Month is coming to an end 🐝

I do have a couple new products that weren’t posted in May for us to look forward to in June. Unfortunately when everyone fell sick in the house it put a wrench in my plans and I stay far away from work as to not contaminate anything. Hopefully we are all back to normal and healthy again next week and I can jump back in to making!

You can’t have bee month without flowers 🌷!
grace06 has been working on creating these beautiful flower peg people in honour of bee month 😍 and they are stunning! This hand painted set can be paired with sensory materials, loose parts and add in some books for a fun educational experience.

These beauties will be hitting the website at 8pm tonight. Limited quantities available!
