🍎 It’s brought me back to memories of school trips we took there to witness how life was in simpler times ♥️

👀 The folklore of Ghost Ships is pretty fascinating especially here in Mahone Bay! The legend of The Young Teazer, phantom ship, lives on over two centuries later. I made this little collection of brass beauties, Mid-Century highballs and Bluenose plate by Wedgwood as a tribute to the bone chilling local tales of the past

⚓️ The story might have ended with the sinking of the Young Teazer, but local folklore insists that it was just the beginning. Residents and sailors have reported seeing a spectral ship ablaze, reenacting its last moments on the anniversary of its destruction. This ghostly vision, known as the “Teazer Light,” appears as a fiery apparition on the waters of Mahone Bay, a haunting reminder of the ship’s tragic end. (Credit: Explore Mahone Bay)

💚🤍 Spring Blossom 1972-79 is easily one of the most cherished of all Pyrex patterns. This Cindy set took me FOREVER to piece together, one by one and finally ready for her close up! 📸

💚🤍 My fave is always the 441-I lovingly refer to as “the baby Cindy” & “the cherry on top” because I enjoy giving everything nick names 🤣

🎃 I’ve brought in this fabulous epic papier-mâché jack-o-lantern to my space at The Four Points Vintage Market for all the serious Hallowe’en collectors! It has its original handle still intact along with some melted wax in the base leftover from time of use waaaaaay back when!

🎃 The Brindle Boston The Brindle Boston next door has 2 left after a very exciting debut a few days ago!

🎃 A little history on these fascinating objects:
These highly collectible jack-o-lanterns were created in the 1930s and were made out of paper pulp with holes to create a face with a very fine vellum backing inserted with illustrations of eyes, nose and mouth inside. Small candles were used inside for a brief time to create the glowing, spooky effect and for children to light their way trick or treating

🎃 Early Hallowe’en decor in the 1920s & 30s was made in Germany for the most part, but after World War 2, Hallowe’en decor became mainly produced in the USA. As time passed, Jack-o-lanterns were produced out of metal and then plastic
