After the response to this week’s Backyard Social, we’re already looking ahead to the next ones ✨

We started this as a way to bring together good food, local makers, live music and community in a relaxed backyard space. Seeing the turnout this week confirmed that people are looking for more spaces like this in London.

The next Backyard Social will take place on Monday, June 22nd, with more vendors, musicians, food and community.

We’ll be sharing more details soon, along with future summer dates.

Oh, what a night ❤️

Thank you to everyone who came out to our first Backyard Social on Monday.

We welcomed over 250 people into the backyard, sold out of food before the night ended, and saw so many artists, makers, musicians, neighbours, friends, families and new faces come together in one space.

The turnout, the energy, the conversations, the music, the support for local vendors, it honestly exceeded anything we imagined.

A huge thank you to all of the vendors, musicians, collaborators and everyone who helped make this happen.

This is exactly what we hoped Backyard Social could become.

Live music is coming to the first Artisan Backyard Social 🎶

On Monday, May 25 from 5–9pm, we’re turning the backyard into a space for pizza, local vendors, art, conversation, and live music under the lights.

We’re excited to welcome Derek McIntyre and Nicholas Holt to the evening, along with a few musical friends joining in throughout the night.

We’re just one week away!

The goal for the Backyard Social is simple: create a space where people can gather, slow down a little, and connect with the neighbourhood and each other 💛

One of the things we care most about with Backyard Social is creating space for people to share what they make, what they care about, and what connects them to the neighbourhood.

We’re really excited to have local photographer Natasha joining us on May 25 with an interactive installation she’s calling “Porch Portal.”

Inspired by her Porch Portraits project in Old East Village, Porch Portal invites people to slow down, sit together, write love letters to the neighbourhood, share memories, reflections, drawings, and moments of connection — all of which will eventually become part of a larger community art piece.

It’s thoughtful, creative, community-rooted, and exactly the kind of energy we hope Backyard Social continues to grow around ❤️

Community Ink will be joining us for the first Artisan Backyard Social on May 25.

They’ll be bringing temporary tattoos and an interactive tattoo space into the backyard for the evening.

One of the things we’re most excited about with this event is creating space for different kinds of local creativity to exist together.
