Five years. ❤️

It’s hard to put into words what the last five years have meant to us.

What started with a desire to continue the legacy of a community bakery has grown into something bigger than we could have imagined. There have been early mornings, long days, flour covered floors, countless croissants, a whole lot of coffee, and more than a few challenges along the way.

But more than anything, there have been people. The people who have walked through our doors, brought their friends, made us part of their routines, supported us through the highs and lows, and kept coming back. You’ve given us the chance to do what we love, and we don’t take that for granted.

Artisan wouldn’t be what it is without this community. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning or just discovered us recently, thank you for being part of our story. Truly.

As we head into our next chapter, we’re making a small change to our hours so we can keep doing what we do best.

Our new hours:
Monday–Saturday: 8am–3pm
Sunday: 9am–2pm

Here’s to five years in this amazing community, good food, good coffee, and to whatever comes next.

So… what exactly is Stuffing Sourdough? 🍞

Pretty much what it sounds like, all the flavours of stuffing, baked into a loaf of sourdough.

We load it up with carrots, celery, onion, sage, rosemary, thyme and oregano, with vegetable stock worked into the dough for that familiar savoury stuffing flavour.
Slice it up for one hell of a Thanksgiving sandwich, toast it with a little butter, or, hear us out, use it to make your actual stuffing.

It’s part of our Thanksgiving pre-order menu, available for pickup this weekend!

Pre-orders close END OF DAY WEDNESDAY, October 7th.

🍂 THANKSGIVING PRE-ORDERS ARE OPEN! 🍂

Thanksgiving is just around the corner, and we’ve put together a menu of some of our favourite things for the long weekend!

We’ve got roasted pumpkin sourdough, stuffing sourdough, sweet potato buns, apple pie croissants, potato & leek danishes, basil pesto twists, and plenty of sweets — including classic apple crumble, pumpkin loaf cake, coconut brown butter cake, butter tarts and more!

For the table, we’re also offering smashed potato salad, apple cheddar monkey bread and spiced apple c***r.

Pre-orders are open now, so order quick.

Orders close Wednesday, October 7th and must be picked up Saturday, October 10th or Sunday, October 11th at any of our pickup locations.

We will be CLOSED Monday, October 12th for Thanksgiving. 🍂

Thank you for another Backyard Social ❤️

Monday was pretty much the perfect fall evening.

Cool weather, a full backyard, great food, wonderful vendors, and Brendan Sutton providing the soundtrack.

Thank you to everyone who came out, grabbed some pizza, wandered through the vendors, sat around the tables, and spent the evening with us.

And a huge thank you to all of the vendors and everyone who helped make these evenings happen. Backyard Social has grown into something really special for us, and it’s because you keep showing up.

Maybe we aren’t quite ready to put the backyard away for the year just yet…

We’re getting ready for our next Backyard Social, and we’re excited to welcome a mix of familiar faces and new friends to the backyard.

This month you’ll find:

👗 Nightingale Vintage — Vintage clothing and all kinds of carefully chosen secondhand finds.

🌸 Flynn’s Flowers — We’re very happy to have Flynn’s back after a few months away, bringing their beautiful flowers to the backyard once again.

🏺 Wilette Wares — Another returning face! Handmade ceramics and unique pieces from a local ceramicist we’re always happy to have back.

📚 Little Wren — Our returning independent bookshop, bringing a thoughtful selection of books to browse and take home.

💍 Good Bones Jewelry Co. — Beautifully crafted jewelry and one-of-a-kind pieces. They also host jewelry-making workshops and love getting people involved in the process!

🖼️ Greyn Objects + Ornaments — Handmade salt dough objects and ornaments, from small sculptural pieces to playful, one-of-a-kind creations.

🌿 LIFE*SPIN — Back again with their Harvest Table, celebrating the season and sharing the work they do in our community. Don’t forget to bring your garden goodies to share with the community!

We’re heading into fall with another evening of pizza, music, local makers, and community in the backyard.

A little rain wasn’t going to stop us. 🌧️✨

Thank you to everyone who came out for our August Backyard Social and helped make it such a great night.

The weather may not have cooperated, but the backyard was still full of good people, good food, local makers, and some seriously good music.

A huge thank you to Jeremy Fox for the music, and to all the friends who joined him on stage throughout the evening. It was pretty special watching the backyard turn into a little social jam.

And thank you to all of our vendors, our team, and everyone who came by, grabbed a pizza, wandered through, pulled up at a picnic table, or just spent part of their evening with us.

This is exactly what we hoped Backyard Social could become. ❤️

New goodies are hitting the counter this weekend! ☀️🍑

We’ve got some fresh additions joining the pastry case:

🍑 Peach Upside Down Cake — caramelized peaches baked into a rich, tender cake
🫐 Fruit Oat Bars — buttery, crumbly, and packed with fruit
🥒 Toasted Coconut Zucchini Cake — moist and nutty, and I’m sure you haven’t had enough zucchini yet
🥮 Revamped Morning Bun Bread Pudding — made with our morning buns and given a serious glow-up
