Yesterday depression kicked my ass, so I took the day off and we went to the beach. 🌊❤️

Sometimes taking care of yourself means slowing down. Sometimes it means getting your ass out of bed, getting some fresh air, and refusing to let a sh*tty mental health day win.

Today I went back to work, and I was reminded how important it is to have a workplace that understands you’re a human being before you’re an employee. PTO, flexibility, accommodations, and people who recognize that life happens.

I’ll always be a big advocate for mental health. Take the break when you need it. Ask for help. Get outside. Do something that makes you feel like yourself again.

You don’t have to pretend you’re okay—but you also don’t have to let depression convince you that you can’t get back up. ❤️
And if you can't get up today, thats ok too!

Social media may have taken a backseat lately, but the baking never did!

Between starting a new career, working overtime, getting promoted just 6 months in 👀, and, you know… summer life, I’ve been a little busy.

But the cupcakes? Still happening. I finished a 100 cupcake order last month! 😍

Still here. Still baking. Still making entirely unreasonable amounts of buttercream. 💕🧁

My first vendor event went great! I sold more than half of what I brought. Thanks to my mom for helping out!
I had some adorable visitors stop by to help for a bit, but mostly to dance.

Happy Friday!!
Nothing says "organized parent" quite like finishing a cake competition entry at sunrise. 😂

Scarlet and I teamed up to make this for her school's Fun Fair. Did I leave it until the last minute? Maybe. Did life leave me any other option? Also maybe.

Either way, we got it done, had fun, and I think it turned out pretty cute!
The theme was super mario, and of course she chose the princess and all things pink.
