Well to start we need to rewind to December when I was diagnosed B12 deficient and put on injections, then we fast forward to February I’m now also Iron deficient.. if you know where I’m going with this I’m sorry for your loss of gluten. 🥺🩵

I’ve just been diagnosed with Gluten Intolerance (won’t be perusing a celiac diagnosis because I’d have to make myself sicker to have a scope done).

It’s been an exhausting few months but I’m happy to finally have a direction to move in to start healing. ❤️‍🩹

To all my regular customers and just anyone who supported my little bakery.. thank you from the bottom of my heart. It’s been such a wonderful & fun pursuit! Once I get a grip on gluten free baking I’ll be back but flourless this time! 🥰

Friday Failures. Unfortunately they do happen, from burnt bottoms, over fermentation, cutting boards falling onto and flattening a loaf or delicious cheese tunnels that turn a beautiful boule into some sort of Frankenstein bread!

If you are starting a sourdough journey it’s okay to bake a loaf that’s a failure and you’ll probably do it more than once! each time is a chance to learn and tweak your process! I’ve been playing with the addition of dark rye and I think today’s flat loaves is my sign to stop lol

It was extremely disappointing to break the news about today’s orders to my customers but I’m always blown away by the understanding and kindness of everyone. 🥹🩵 Thank you all for just being you!
