It’s Cranberry Sourdough Day and the shop smells amazing. Fresh loaves are coming out of the oven, with that perfect tang and a pop of cranberry sweetness. We’ve also got our usual line-up of breads, cookies, and a few new treats to surprise you including these gourmet potato chips!

We’re open 10–4 today, and we’d love to see you! Pop in, say hi, and grab something fresh for the table. 💛

PUBLIC NOTICE: COWIE WELL UPDATE
Issued on Friday, May 22, 2026, at 1:40 p.m.

In consultation with Nova Scotia Public Health, Cowie Well, located at 733 Main St., Liverpool, has reopened under a boil water advisory.

Prior to using water from Cowie Well, water must be boiled for at least one minute after it reaches a rolling boil before using the water for any purpose that may result in consumption, such as drinking, preparing infant formulas, preparing juices and ice cubes, washing fruits and vegetables, cooking, or dental hygiene, etc.
The boil water advisory for water taken from Cowie Well shall remain in effect until further notice.

Signage has been posted at the well to advise users of the boil water advisory.

Nova Scotia Public Health is continuing its investigation into the source of a suspected case of E. coli in the area. The Region of Queens Municipality continues to assist in that effort. The investigation may take several days to complete.

PLEASE NOTE – Cowie Well is not part of the Region of Queens Water Utility, and Water Utility customers are NOT affected by the boil water advisory. The boil water advisory only applies to water collected from Cowie Well.

Good morning,

The shop smells amazing today – we’ve got cheese, herb & garlic French bread, our classic white loaves, and yes… fresh cinnamon buns just out of the oven. 🥖🍥

It’s just Richard holding down the fort today, so we’ll be open until 4 (or until we sell out). If you’ve got a craving, pop by early – we’d hate for you to miss out!

The ovens are warm, and the bakery smells like heaven today. Fresh on the shelves:
Traditional sourdough
Harvest sourdough
Organic spelt & pumpkin seed sourdough
Organic white sourdough
Whole wheat honey & oat loaves

We’ve also stocked up the freezer with lots of bread at half price—perfect to tuck away for later!
