We're heading into the Labour Day long weekend! What are your plans? We'd love to hear it!

We will be CLOSED on Monday September 7th due to the holiday and open again on Tuesday September 8th from 8am-12pm. We'll be at the Kirkland Lake Food & Artisan Market from 3pm-6pm that day!

Check out yesterday's (Thursday's) Facebook post on our nickname contest. We have an official name for our mascot, the little butter tart guy, but are having a 'local love' contest in appreciation of our community's support to us! Check it out, and be sure to read the rules carefully.

It's a dough day here for us at Happy Traills. Gotta keep up with the pastry or no butter tarts! ๐Ÿซฃ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Wow! There's so much going on today!

The calendar has turned to September, the kids are all back at school, and most importantly, it's market day!

We'll be at the Kirkland Lake Food & Artisan Market from 3pm-6pm at the Civic Park Pavilion on Tweedsmuir Avenue.

Join us and all the other great vendors! Drop by our table to get your fill of yummy butter tarts and jumbo chocolate chip cookies!

Our Feature Flavour of the Month (for a few weeks anyway) is S'mores!

And of course we'll have our Core Four of Plain, Raisin, Pecan and Coffee.

Whether you were squeezing in that last little bit of summer vacation, getting all the prep work and shopping done for the first day of the new school year, or just hanging around home, we hope you had a good weekend! ๐Ÿ–๐Ÿซ๐Ÿก

Maybe you were even having a backyard bonfire or campfire and with it indulging in some.....S'mores maybe? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ•

Introducing September's Feature Flavour, S'mores! (at least for a few weeks, but more on that in a sec). ๐Ÿšจ

We were unwilling to let go of summer completely, so we're holding on for just a wee bit ๐Ÿค๐Ÿป longer by bringing this very popular, quintessential campfire treat back - in butter tart form!

Our version has graham cracker crumbs on the bottom with chocolate morsels, mini marshmallows, filled with our signature filling, and when cooled, topped with more graham crumbs and a big 'ol toasted marshmallow for that piece de resistance! ๐Ÿคค๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป

We are offering the S'mores from September 1st - September 22nd and then doing a different Feature Flavour. There's only one October KLFAM, so we wanted you to have a chance at our October Feature early.

We've got 5, count 'em, ๐Ÿฑ ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ธ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜€ next month! Fall is drawing nearer and it's reflected in the produce and products filtering in by the vendors!

We have TWO Feature Flavours in September, but if you'll notice the dates, they show up at different times of the month instead of overlapping or sharing the spotlight. Another post about that later!

We're finally at Friyay and it's the last weekend of August. We'll post a sneak peek ๐Ÿ‘€ at our September calendar soon!

And with a new month comes a new Feature Flavour! We've done something a little different this time with our Features because there's only one market in October. Stay tuned!

As you've probably read previously, we are closed today for our delivery run to Rouyn-Noranda. We'll re-open on Sunday!
