The 49th got it's start in 1977 when the Richmond's purchased the small corner store on 1st Avenue of Ladysmith, BC. We have grown with our community and now with 4 locations, we employ almost 400 local people. Our goal is to provide top quality products, unparalleled service and a friendly shopping atmosphere. Playing a big part in our communities is what we are all about.
