The weather forecast is pretty tough for today so we’re going to do things a little differently on this rainy Monday ☔️

The market is cancelled today due to the weather but we will be open at the bakery from 9am - 1pm instead 🩷

Swing by to say hi & stock up on all of your sweet needs for the last week of summer break!

Please note - the South Line is still closed between Highway 21 and our farm so it’s best to access us via Bruce Road 7 (off Highway 9 or Concession 12 if you’re coming from Kincardine or Point Clark areas). We are located right at the corner of Bruce Road 7 and the South Line so we’re easy to get to from there ☺️

Hi friends! The weather is looking pretty tough for market conditions tomorrow - in the interest of not taking off like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz (Victoria Park Edition), I’ve made the difficult decision to remain closed - we will not be attending the Monday Market tomorrow (August 24th) as previously planned. My sincere apologies for any inconvenience this causes - fingers crossed for sunnier skies next Monday!

Our summer closure remains in effect until the end of this week (as planned) and the bakery will re-open this Friday, August 28th at 9am.

Thanks so much for understanding and we will see you all so soon! ❤️❤️

It’s time to trade in the work hat for the sun hat & relax for a minute or two! 🏝️ ☀️ 💕 (Who am I kidding though - I’m obsessed with the new Back Forty hats! 😍)

Vacation mode is officially ON in the Back Forty & the bakery is closed until we re-open on Friday, August 28th at 9am!☀️

I’ve been living in the bakery for months & am looking forward to making core memories with my kids & experiencing some sunshine finally! I need to get some much needed quality time in with our loved ones before another summer season slips by. Thanks so much for an absolutely incredible year so far - I look forward to seeing you again when I return!

Please note - all communications go to the bakery phone line including phone calls, emails, texts and social media alerts. I won’t have access to any work communication on my time off but will respond accordingly when I’m back at it! 🩷

Feast your eyes on this scrumptious Peanut Butter Brownie - our classic triple chocolate brownie topped with a rich peanut butter buttercream icing & sprinkled with Reese's Pieces. It's the perfect treat to accent your upcoming weekend & it's in the bakery case today!

Just a reminder that we are almost at our holiday closure so this is a great time to stock up on Back Forty Sweets!

You can catch us at the bakery today (Friday, August 14th) until 6pm, or tomorrow at Ripley's Food, Art & Craft Festival (Back Forty Bazaar) from 9am - 2pm at the Ripley arena.

Since we are vending at the Food, Art & Craft Festival tomorrow the farm location will be closed; however, there will be many incredible vendors to check out at the festival so come on by!

We will be closed from Sunday, August 16th to Thursday, August 27th (with the exception of the Market in the Park on Monday, August 24th). We will re-open at the farm location on Friday, August 28th.

Whew! What a summer so far! We've had an absolutely incredible season so far and can't thank you enough for all of your support in 2026!

Here's a look at what's happening in August!

Please note - the bakery will be closed from Monday, August 17th until Thursday, August 27th and will be re-opening on Friday, August 28th. We will not be at the Market in the Park on Monday, August 17th HOWEVER we will be there on Monday, August 24th.

Stock up on all of your entertaining sweets before our time off! All of our squares freeze beautifully so you can amp up your freezer stock in advance. Just store the goodies in an airtight container with wax paper between the layers & you're good to go!

After 11 years in business, we now officially have a bakery phone line to help with balancing work & family life. This means that outside of work hours, I am able to focus on my children, family and life outside of the kitchen. During the bakery closure I will not have access to email, socials, texts or phone calls but I will be happy to return all inquiries when I return on Friday, August 28th.

Thanks so much for the outstanding amount of support - I have been beyond humbled by all of the people we have seen at the Market in the Park and here at the bakery on the farm. I am beyond blessed to have the best customers & I appreciate you all immensely.

Soak up that sunshine & we'll see you all soon!
