Last weekend, the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation hosted its 20th annual Lifesavers Dinner & Auction at the LOTW Yacht Club, and I was so happy to once again be a small part of such an incredible evening. 💛

For the third year, I donated 100 S’mores cookies as little gifts for the attendees, and I loved hearing that they were a hit again this year! 🍪

Even more incredible, this year’s event raised an amazing $502,482, bringing the Lifesavers Dinner & Auction’s 20-year fundraising total to more than $5 MILLION in support of exceptional care at Lake of the Woods District Hospital. 👏

Funds raised this year will help purchase a new infant abduction and patient wandering system, enhancing safety and security for some of our most vulnerable patients. Additional funds will also support the Strengthening Surgical Care Close to Home Initiative, helping people in our region access high-quality surgical care right here at home.

Our hospital and the work of the Hospital Foundation mean so much to me and to our entire community. I am so grateful for the partnership I’ve built with the Foundation over the past few years and for the opportunities to use Baked by the Lake to support events and initiatives that make such a meaningful difference right here at home. 💛

Congratulations to everyone involved in another incredible Lifesavers event, and thank you to all of the donors, volunteers, sponsors and supporters who helped make it such a huge success!

We are back from our week away in beautiful Sioux Narrows, Ontario, and wow, I didn’t realize just how much I needed that little reset. 💛

We had the BEST week. Amazing weather, lots of family time, fishing, good food and a chance to completely recharge. I can honestly say my battery feels FULL again, and I can already feel the creativity firing back up! 🙌

With a clearer head, I’ve got so many ideas swirling around for fall and winter, which is somehow already fast approaching. 🍂🍪 I’m dreaming up new flavours, seasonal goodies and lots of fun content to share with you!

While I was taking a little break from the mixing bowls, I handed them over to YOU with my Summer Sale, and holy moly, so many of you grabbed new recipes this week! I cannot wait to see what you start baking. ❤️

Now, I know I said the sale ended at midnight last night. BUT I woke up to a few messages this morning from people asking if they could still shop the sale this weekend because they just didn’t get a chance.

Today is going to be a get-my-life-back-together kind of day over here. 😂 Unpacking, organizing, shopping for supplies and getting everything ready because tomorrow we are BACK TO THE COOKIE GRIND!🍪

My local retailers have been sold out of cookies for almost a week now, and while part of me feels terrible about that, I really, really needed this break. Tomorrow the ovens are firing back up so I can get everyone restocked! 🍪
