A Sweet Romance We are a couple of Pastry Chefs looking to help you discover the beautiful flavors of the Okanagan. Welcome to" A Sweet Romance"!

My Fiance Tristan Shah and I met in Professional Baking and Pastry School, at Red River College in Winnipeg, Manitoba back in 2009. We have been practicing pastry for over 30 years combined, under many talented chefs, always looking forward to eventually starting out on our own adventure. Here we are now, ready to share our exquisite creations, and unique flavors with you, knowing you are going to

enjoy EVERY bite :)

Every product is Handcrafted and made completely from Scratch by the Both of us. With our combined talents we can assure you some of the best tasting, satisfying pastries, flavors, and textures you will ever put in your mouth. We are dedicated to creating our products with High Quality, Locally-Sourced, Organic, Non-GMO, Delicious ingredients. Providing our customers with Pastries and Baked Goods they can feel good about, and allowing us to connect, support, and represent the locals of the Okanagan Valley. We are excited to contribute to our amazing, diverse, and inviting community that we are proud to call home! We design and decide on each individual pastry together, and will frequently be changing them in sync with the availability of whatever fresh produce is in season. We are currently residing at two of the farmers markets here in the Okanagan, including the Kelowna Farmers Market on Wednesday and the Peachland Farmers Market on Sundays. If you are interested in ordering for another day feel free to contact us and inquire for all of your baking and pastry needs. We are trained in all areas from classic artisan breads, to fine dining plated desserts, and everything in between! It is our gift to you to treat everything we offer as an individual work of art, with particular attention to detail and care, respecting and highlighting each component of the ingredients used. Day 5 in St. Lucia was absolutely epic. Woke up early, hit the cold plunge, refilled all the waters, grabbed some breaky, and we were off to hike Gros Piton. On the ticket, they call it a nature trail... not the exact words I'd use to describe the next 5 hours, but hey, what do I know. We were blessed to have such an amazing guide, Abigail, who dropped so much knowledge and had such good patience with these 2 slower moving pastry chefs🀣. Unlike many hikes that we have done in Peru, Italy, and Canada, this one requires a lot of climbing over big rocks and boulders, using tree roots to pull yourself up and other fun elements. We actually contemplated turning back halfway, but YOLO ya know. Plus, if we really felt it was too much, we could turn back anytime, so why not keep pushing. Plus, we were the last group to set off for the hike today, so everyone we passed coming down gave us words of motivation and kept commenting on our shirts. Hey, sometimes you gotta live a little and touch some grass u know or rock. After 3 hours, we reached the peak, and we're rewarded with a spectacular view of the island. And also a kitten lives on the top of the mountain. I don't know, make it make sense, but what a reward for reaching the top! 🐈 😻 πŸˆβ€β¬›οΈ. Also, fun fact hermit crabs live on the mountain, haha. I always thought they were found only on beaches lol, not near the peak of Gros Piton! It took 2 hrs to get down, but hey, we are on vacation, no rush here. There were numerous amazing lookouts along the way, and by the end, the legs were shaking. The fit bit graph says it all.

It is more important than ever to come out and support your local farmer's. One of the biggest reasons we started our business was to showcase the bounty of the okanagan and do just that. Just look at these beautiful apples! Everything we make is filled with local fruit! We have built such a great connection with so many of the farmers in the okanagan and this year has been extremely difficult for all of them.

We will be featuring apple desserts weekly as long as they are in season to use as many as we can. A lot of farmers are sitting on loads of apples right now with nowhere to store them due to the closure of BC tree fruits. There are so many delicious varieties out there, great for saucing, pureeing, eating, or turning into apple pie filling. Possiblities are endless!!

Please come out, show some support, and try to make it to wherever your local farmer's markets are. They need it now more than ever!
