Kelowna Community Fridge

Kelowna Community Fridge A community fridge project located on the ancestral and unceded land of the Syilx Okanagan Nation. Our goal is to provide safe, 24/7 access to free food.

Donation Guidelines

✅ We will be accepting:
* Fresh fruit & vegetables 

* Dry goods (Pasta, rice, baking needs, etc.)

* Sealed hygiene items (Diapers, toothpaste, tampons, pads, etc.)

* Sealed non-alcoholic beverages 

* Sealed pet food

* Sealed frozen food (Pizza, microwave dinners, etc.)

* Snacks (Granola bars, crackers, etc.)

✅ Yes, if labeled with best before date:
* Bread and pastries 

* Fresh eggs

* Dairy products

*We will not be accepting pre-made food from those without a licensed commercial kitchen for the time being

🚫 We will not be accepting:
* Opened or used items

* Raw meat or seafood

* Expired food 

* Half-eaten food

* Alcohol 

* Dented cans

* Mouldy produce

* Leftovers & pre-made home meals

Want to help make a difference in our community?💚

We’re looking for volunteers to help get the Kelowna Community Fridge up and running! Whether you have a little time to spare each week or just want to get involved in a meaningful local initiative, we’d love to hear from you!!

From fridge checks and cleaning to community outreach and food rescue, there are lots of ways to help.
