We hear we're hard to find...
and we agree. We're working on a plan to improving our roadside visibility... but until then here are some clues

Most importantly, when we are open, our OPEN flag is set out at the road. Our hours do vary - but we are mainly open Friday 1 to 5, Saturday 11 to 5.

Country living is wonderful. Not only are we nestled amongst the trees, we also have a road with many names. Call it what you will - Hwy 48, County Road 48, or Portage Road - we are at #1915 and 1915B - YUP - there are 2 green numbers here, but only 1 driveway. Once you've visited for the first time, you'll understand.

Years ago we would say you could find us on 48 between the Go Carts and the boat seat guy, look for the tall spruce tree in the ditch and the white picket fence/gate. At least now we have Green Numbers - and we've got 2 of them - on one post!

Hopefully this will help. Here is our distance from a few landmarks:

Heading WEST from Coboconk towards Kirkfield, we are on the right hand side of the road.
*10.1 km from the lights in Coboconk (at Hwy 35)
*3.3 km from Balsam Lake Provincial Park

Heading EAST from Kirkfield towards Coboconk, we are on the left hand side of the road.
*8.8 km from the 4-way stop in downtown Kirkfield
*5.9 km from Shalamar (ESSO/Store)
*4.4 km from Fenel Road/Victoria Road

Narrowing it down further, we are on the north side of the road, between South Mountain Road and County Rd 41/Parkside Drive.

Your taste buds will be Finding Joy when you manage to find us, a nice reward for a 'Where's Waldo' type adventure📍

🤭 I tortured my hubby with yet another new recipe tonight...(yes sometimes it really IS torture!)

This one is super yummy! So yummy I'll be making some for the Bunkie this weekend!

A perfect blend of tart and sweetness this Rhubarb Bread Pudding is refreshingly delicious. Pop it in the oven to reheat while you have dinner so you can serve it warm. Maybe add some vanilla ice cream if you have some in the freezer.

Looks like today will be a Soggy Saturday (May 23). We'll be open today from 11 to 5.

A great day to curl up with a good book and some yummy cookies!

This is my favourite oatmeal raisin cookie! Soft and chewy, packed with organic SunMaid raisins (amazingly the only ingredient is RAISINS...no oils, no sulfates). We use organic oats and locally grown and milled organic whole wheat flour. Real butter, real vanilla extract. Real food. Really delicious! Available in packages of 6 standard size cookies or our cute cookie jar with 10-12 small cookies.

In case oatmeal raisin isn't your thing, we also have a few brown butter sourdough chocolate cookie jars available too. There is just something about how sourdough and chocolate go together.

We also have fresh sourdough bread, and some white bread and buns. The freezer also has some goodies... buttertarts, bread pudding with vanilla sauce and more cookies!

The Bunkie will be closed this weekend. (May 8 & 9)The work capacity for this weekend has been reached with no capacity to make extra goodies to stock the shelves for drop-ins. Preorder customers have been notified to arrange for order pick-ups

Finding "Joy" right now means that the older, slightly wiser me had to pull rank on the younger version of myself. Learning to prioritize family and my own health and wellbeing is part of my Joy journey - and I truly hope Finding Joy Sweet and Savoury Shop clientele will not only understand, but make the same choices for themselves when needed.

In addition to our baked goods, we have some great handcrafted gifts for Mom! Our Handcrafted by Nora items are a great way to give twice! All items are 'pay what you can' so they fit anyone's budget. What you choose to pay is split between The Woodville Eldon Foodbank and Women's Resources.

We also carry some local honey, maple syrup, Skin Simple Beauty products, and other great gift ideas.
