13 candles,
One for every year clean and sober.
Every year this date serves as a reminder that recovery is a giftโone that was freely given to me by people who chose to share their experience, offer hope, and never stop believing that change was possible.
The life I've built, my family, and Wild Flour are all things I'm deeply grateful for. None of it exists in the way it does today without sobriety.
If there's one thing I've learned over these 13 years, it's that recovery isn't something we keep to ourselves. We carry it forward by reaching back. If sharing my story helps even one person believe that a different life is possible, then it's worth telling.
To everyone who has been part of this journeyโthank you. And to the person who may be struggling today: there is hope, and there are people waiting to help.
Thirteen years. Filled with gratitude. Always.
