Baby box cake for my little cousin. I love being able to make birthday cakes for all my family members, especially the young ones! They just get so excited for their cake and I don't have to go out to buy a present 😜 Making cakes for family is how I built up my talent over the years, I'm so grateful for that opportunity ❤️ I hope they grow up remembering the cakes I've made for them and feel the love I put into each one of them 🥰

Did you know peonies are completely edible? It's always important to make sure any fresh flowers you are putting on a cake are food safe. Some flowers give off toxins that can be absorbed into food 🌸

I'm always torn between what my favorite things to create are! I know most bakers have a focus or favorite of some kind, but I guess mine is cake in any form? Cakes, cupcakes, cakesicles, cakepops etc. I might not want to eat it, but I just love creating it! I love that expanding into selling my cakes has given me such an opportunity to try new things, and really explore more into the world of cake work 😍 Having some extra funds for equipment etc is certainly an added bonus 🤪 Appreciate all my customers and love having the opportunity to let my artistic ability show ❤️

Really went above and beyond with these cupcakes. There are actually another 18 cupcakes with their own individual toppers. Will post photos of the others over the next few days.
Wonder why cupcakes like these cost so much more than your basic frosting and sprinkles? Well I make these toppers completely by hand, and to make 24 detailed fondant toppers, it took hours. Im a home based baker, I don't have infinite tools or cutters, so this takes a lot of time to create. Frequently I made the mistake in the past to judge the price I charge by the cost of what I pay for fondant, but that meant I made nothing for the amount of work that goes into it. I love the finished results of toppers like these, honestly they're one of my favorite things to make, but they are hard work and time consuming. So when you're surprised at the price of something consider atleast these 2 things:

1. Fondant is costly to purchase
2. Fondant requires a lot of work and detail, it is very time consuming.
