A little cooler than we have been experiencing - but the sun is out and bringing to life all of the beautiful colours.

There’s something about a classic Reuben that just feels like comfort. Tender corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, melted Swiss cheese, and creamy dressing, all grilled between perfectly toasted rye bread and served with house-cut fries. It’s one of those timeless diner favorites that never goes out of style.

Today, I wish you a day filled with all the good things—the classics, a cozy afternoon, a good movie while the rain falls outside, and the chance to simply slow down and rest. Sometimes the best thing we can do is give ourselves permission to pause.

That’s exactly what our team will be doing after we close at 4:00, heading home to spend time with family and recharge for the week ahead.

We’re open until 4 today, serving our Classic Reuben for lunch and an early dinner. And our friends at Mamma Mia’s have dropped off a fresh batch of pizzas, ready to grab and go for another classic Sunday tradition.

My views this morning are all thanks to the wonderful Mike. Creating a beautiful special on this rainy Sunday.

Cinnamon bun French toast is coming out of the kitchen, with whipped cream, strawberries, local maple syrup, and bacon.

It’s a fresh Saturday, humidity has disappeared and the sun is shining!

Why not have the popular Smokey Bbq Brisket?

A toasted potato bun loaded with pulled brisket, smothered in our delicious Smokey bbq sauce, garlic aioli, melted Swiss cheese and pickled onions. Served today with our house cut fries and famous dilled pasta salad.

We are open and serving until 6pm. The ice cream freezer is full - and we will be scooping all day 🍦

🫑 🥕 These are a fan favourite here at The Cookery. I must say, for me, it’s the sriracha peanut sauce that makes this dish complete.

That’s why we’ve restocked our grab-and-go fridge with some of your favourites: house-made lasagna, shepherd’s pie, butter chicken, and Thai chicken meals—ready to take home and enjoy.

Whether you’re looking for an easy family dinner or a meal to drop off for someone having a tough week, we’ve got you covered. Add a fresh salad and a loaf of bread, and dinner is done.

My Sweet Italian Morning View 🇮🇹

One thing that has always been dear to my heart is beautiful Italian linen. There’s something special about surrounding yourself with things that bring you joy and make you feel your best.

Today, I wish you a day filled with simple pleasures—wearing what makes you happy, surrounding yourself with beauty, and taking a moment to enjoy the little things that are good for the soul.

We did a little shopping and have a small collection of Italian linen in the café. Once it’s gone, it’s gone, so be sure to have a peek if you’ve been waiting for a special piece.
