That being said, we will just skip right to what we’re featuring for lunch! Because the morning is nearly over in my thoughts have obviously went out the window 😆

We are keeping with the sunshine theme today! A great hummus platter full of color, fresh ingredients, and local hummus that just gives you all the feels of a great lunch.

We’re pulling out the classics today - because it’s Wednesday.

A classic Reuben is always a great choice.

🍞 Toasted everything sourdough, smoked meat, 1000 islands, dill pickle, sauerkraut, prepared mustard and Swiss cheese. Served with our house cut fries or chips - it’s a shoe in 🧀

🪴 We are opened and serving until 6pm. The grills are on, the ice cream is scoopin’ 🍦 and the patio is open.

☀️ It’s Wednesday and the sun is shining. The patio is the spot to be today. I may just have to do work outside today.

We are so thankful for our little piece of peace nestled in the trees, here in little Inverary. To see our families that join us to have a bite to eat, our cottagers enjoying their ice cream or our commuters taking in that morning brew - it truly makes us feel grateful.

The colours are popping and the chairs are calling your name - come, sit, relax and enjoy this beautiful mid week day. We’re almost there!

🍕 Happy Tuesday! It’s the last month of school - and fellow mom’s - do we even know what day it is?

🎢 ⚽️ ⚾️ Field trips, sports, activity nights, it’s that month that doesn’t get enough credit for how busy our days are. It’s like Christmas holidays with Santa - am I right? Who is where, what field are we at, did someone miss the bus? 🚌

We see you! And we’ve got you covered. Mamma Mia’s pizzas are here and ready to be popped in the oven and dinner taken care of.

Hello Tuesday and hello sun! ☀️

What an absolute beautiful day to feature this fresh beauty.

🍍 Our Maui Chicken Sandwich has glazed teriyaki chicken, grilled pineapple and creamy in house made coleslaw on our toasted potato bun.

The flavours coming out of this one are tangy, creamy and a bit of zing.

My morning thoughts.

A few years ago, walking into The Cookery on a Monday morning and seeing empty fridges and shelves would have filled me with panic. Now, it fills me with gratitude.

What I once saw as something that needed fixing, I now see as the result of a busy, beautiful weekend and a community that continues to support us.

I’ve learned that happiness isn’t found in rushing to the next task or constantly worrying about what’s left to do. It’s found in slowing down, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and appreciating all the things that are already right in front of us.

So today, I wish you a little more peace, a little less hurry, and the ability to find joy in the simple things.

Happy Tuesday, everyone. We are open until 6 and can’t wait to see you.

My early morning thoughts…

This morning I woke up to a kitchen full of dirty dishes from an impromptu family dinner last night, and honestly, it made me smile. Our home was always built to be a place where family gathers, conversations linger a little longer, and sometimes the dishes can wait until morning, and so they did. ☺️

After a busy day at the Cookery yesterday, I found myself thinking about how much the same is true for our little café. The goal was never just to open a business. The goal was always to create a place that felt warm, welcoming, and full of community—a place where people gather, connect, dirty our dishes and make memories.
So today set those big goals with purpose into place but don't forget that having goals and dreams without purpose is a little like setting out on a road trip without knowing why you're going.

Wishing you a beautiful Sunday filled with good food, great company, and the people who matter most. ❤️

Good morning, friends.

We’re hearing that many people in the area are without power today. We do have power here at Lavallee’s Cookery, and we are open.

☕ Coffee is on.
🍳 Grills are on.
🔌 We have a charging station available for anyone who needs to charge their phone or devices.
💧 If you’re on a well and need drinking water, bring a clean jug and we’ll happily fill it for you.

It was quite the night. The wind was something else, and I know many of us are waking up to branches, leaves, and a few surprises in the yard this morning.

Most importantly, we hope everyone is safe and doing well.

If you need a warm coffee, a meal, a place to charge your phone, or a little help with water, our doors are open. That’s what community is for.

We’re here until 6 today and look forward to seeing you. ❤️
