Known as the 'European inspired bakery', we offer a wide range of fresh 'from scratch' baked goods. We offer a variety of breads, buns, and rolls. For the sweet tooth, our showcases display a vast selection of cookies, squares, and pastries i.e butter tarts, fruit tarts. And yes we do birthday cakes on order. Dutch specialties are 'boterkoek', almond crescents, and apple cakes. On the savoury side we offer chunky beef meatpies, sausage rolls, handcrafted soups and sandwiches.

As we come to the end of our 50-year journey through Windmill Bakery’s history, we want to take a moment to say thank you. ❤️

To our customers, thank you for 50 years of love, support, and for making Windmill Bakery a part of your lives. From morning coffees and fresh bread runs to family celebrations and everyday visits, your support has allowed this bakery to continue growing and serving our community.

To all of our staff, past and present, thank you for your dedication, hard work, and many long days. Every loaf baked, every coffee served, and every customer welcomed has played a part in the story of Windmill Bakery.

A special thank you to the families who came before us and helped build the foundation of Windmill Bakery. Thank you to Ton Struyk, who first opened Windmill Bakery here in Huntsville in 1976, and to the Wouda family, who faithfully ran Windmill for 30 years. Your hard work, dedication, and care helped shape Windmill into what it is today.

And above all, we give thanks to God for His faithfulness over the past 50 years. We are grateful for the ways He has guided this bakery, provided through every season, and allowed Windmill Bakery to be a place that serves our community and brings people together.

December 2024.

This photo captures Windmill Bakery just before the final addition that brought us to where we are today.

In the spring of 2025, we enclosed our outdoor patio to create a warm, welcoming indoor seating area. Over the past year, it's become a place where friends catch up over coffee, colleagues meet for lunch, and families gather to enjoy time together.

We're so grateful to be able to provide a space for our community to connect, and we can't wait to continue making memories together.

Spring 2023, and it was right back to baking!

With the new production space complete, Dan and the baking team were hard at work filling the shelves with fresh bread, pies, cinnamon buns, pastries, and so much more.

Thanks to Dan's leadership, along with the dedication, skill, and early mornings of the entire baking team, Windmill Bakery continues to produce so many delicious products for our community.
