There is something so magical, and incredibly humbling about running a small business. I still remember the very first post we shared, holding our breath and wondering if anyone would ever order! I’ll never forget Casey shouting up from his office, “Brit, we got another one!”

Even now, every day comes with that same nervous energy Will anyone order this week? If i take off summer break, will people still remember me?

Yet day after day, I am overwhelmed by your support. Another notification pops up, or another familiar customer comes back for their favourite, and my heart bursts. Every single order means the world to me, and I feel that exact same gratitude and excitement all over again. Thank you so much for being here. 🤍🤍🤍

🥒 This Monday is officially Dill Dough Day. 🥒

Last week, one of my lovely out of town customers made a special request for Dill Pickle Sourdough stuffed with fresh dill, pickles & creamy Havarti.

She’ll be making the trip back for more on Monday, so naturally, I had to make a little more dill dough for the occasion. 🤎

Bread season must be in the air, because the orders are flooding in! 🥖🍂

I’m so beyond grateful for all of the love and support, and honestly so excited for fall and to get back to baking on the regular.

For the first two weeks of school, I’ll be sticking to Friday pickups so I can make sure the kids have a chance to settle into their new routines without me jumping straight back into the chaos of baking every day.

After those first two weeks, I’m hoping to be back to Monday–Friday baking!

Thank you, as always, for being so patient, supportive and excited about Little Acres. I’m SO ready to get back to it!!

Turns out I am seriously on summer holiday schedule over here because I completely lost track of the days! I thought today was Friday, which means the cheddar loaves that were actually meant for pickup on Friday are baked, fresh, and ready for you TODAY!

A huge thank you to everyone for your patience while I wait on a large supply order that’s been delayed. I’ve stretched my remaining supplies as far as I could, but I’m officially out for now!

I also wanted to let everyone know that Little Acres will be baking FRIDAYS only for the remainder of the summer, starting the 31st.

I want to soak up as much time with my kids as I can before school starts. My three grieving hearts need to come first, and balancing them with Little Acres has been an adventure!

Come September, I’ll be back to pouring my heart and soul into your orders and giving Little Acres the attention it deserves.

Thank you all so much for your understanding and continued support. It truly means the world. 🤍

Update!

The cupboard isn’t as full as I thought! I must have been asleep when I posted. I only came home with whole wheat, they are very soft from being in bags - to bring them back to life wet the loaf and reheat in oven for 15 min. 🤍

granola is fully stocked & delicious soft caramel candy apples.
