This morning’s lineup at Homestead Egg Farm:  
Hearty sourdough, briny Kalamata olive, spent grain loaf, and honey oat for sandwiches.  
Plus baguettes, tangy sourdough crackers, lemon blueberry scones, and a mix of cookies.

We made a Howl’s Moving Castle inspired cake for our daughter’s birthday.

The cake itself was 6 layers of sprinkle cake filled with Martha Stewart's vanilla frosting, coated in silky Swiss meringue buttercream.
The castle and characters were hand-painted on gum paste in a soft watercolor style to match the Studio Ghibli feel.
