We will be open Good Friday. Regular Friday hours 8:30am to 4pm and we will have hot cross buns available on top of our regular Friday selection.

Saturday April 4th, we’ll have pies and hot cross buns available on top of our Saturday menu. Pre-orders by phone 705-778-2148 at least 1 day in advance recommended. We are not open on Wednesday but will still need checking messages that day.

We have seeds! We’re happy to have a wonderful selection of open pollinated and heirloom seeds from Florabunda seeds via .farmstead here in Havelock. Just in time to get your seedlings started and get excited to see the earth again.

1st sourdough bread of 2026. Happy New Year Everyone! Thanks so much to all of our wonderful customers, 2025 was our best year so far.

What kind of baking would you like to see this year?

This was a home baked loaf. We’re still on break until the 8th of January. Hope everyone is having a nice relaxing holidays.

Chocolate Cranberry Bread coming back Saturday Dec 20 and Wed Dec 24. Preorder by phone recommended.

Also, tomorrow (Fri Dec 19) is the last chance to get Rye, Seedy or Walnut Bread this year! Saturday is the last chance for Whole Wheat and Honey, Railroad, Olive, Apricot Anise, and Potato breads. Make sure to stock up.

Another reminder that we will be closing early in Christmas Eve (2pm) and will NOT be offering lunch items on Christmas Eve.

Pre-orders by phone recommended for those two days to avoid disappointment including for Xmas cookies or Stollen which we have everyday up to Xmas Eve.

Today we don’t have any fresh bread as we had a funeral out of town to attend yesterday. We do still have pastries, lots of discounted frozen bread and lunch items for those willing to make the trek in the snow ❄️. Stay safe everyone.

Tis the season. Stollen and Christmas cookies are back! We also lots of wonderful original artisan and art gift ideas available? Including: paintings and cards by Uta Peikert, pottery from Priya Harding, and glass work by Wendy Daly.

What could be better than delicious edible or handmade artisan gifts this year?

New Hours and old shoes. Closed on Tuesdays starting next week. Then closed on Wednesday just the 3rd of September. Then closed the following week (I’ll remind you again before the test) for a little break.
