Today with great joy, we celebrate our daughter‘s 25th birthday! Happy birthday my precious Casidie! ❤️ 🙏 🤗
Casidie is our miracle baby and oh how God has shown off over the last 25 years! And, I love it!!!
You see, we lost our son on the delivery table 16 months prior to her birth. It was devastating.
One day when walking home from work, I literally cried out to God and I asked Him for another child. This doesn’t happen very often, but I sensed the following from Him: Yes, and it’s going to be a girl. However, I didn’t know the ride I was in for, as the pregnancy was extremely complicated and throughout it there were many times when Dr’s said we were going to lose the baby! However, God was faithful!! And approximately three weeks early, we delivered a beautiful baby girl! To sum up 25 years, she has been driven, strong, full of vim and vigour, well spoken, a joy to everyone she meets and has always been motivated! She has a beautiful life: a fantastic career, a wonderful walk with God and is a complete and utter blessing to everyone who meets her!
Today we celebrate a quarter century of beauty and I am so utterly grateful to God for our gorgeous girl! Dad and I love you beyond words my sweet Casidie! Happy birthday!

Every year I am amazed at how many birthday celebrations there are in October! And this year is no different! The cupcake and cake orders are wild, (so much, that we are full until October 13!!)
I am so thankful for people’s confidence and trust❤️

Yesterday was my granddaughter Georgie’s 7th birthday—her fourth one spent in heaven. 🕊️
I spent yesterday and today working at the hospice, and after today’s shift, I sat in my car processing the raw beauty and heartbreak of it all. Serving in a Hospice teaches me a lot about love, but watching my son and daughter-in-law navigate the loss of their sweet girl has taught me more than I could ever express about family closeness, strength and love.
This video is light and heavy. Ultimately, it is about real heart, truth, and life.
Yesterday, I chose to honour Georgie by serving families at the end of life.

Yes, I own and operate Marci’s Bakery however, for those of you who don’t already know, I also work part-time Kemp Care Network , also known as the Bob Kemp Hospice. And by the way, I did this video Tuesday evening and forgot to post it. 😆
Lately, I feel like I am living my best life because I get to do, not only one, but two things, career wise, that have so much meaning to me. Occasionally, you will see me post about the Hospice. 🎂 A little cake for a very big milestone. 💕

This weekend, I had the privilege of making a smash cake for a very special little one celebrating their first birthday.

And I don’t take that privilege lightly.

There is something so beautiful about celebrating that first year—the joy, the memories, the photos, and those facial expressions when taking those first bites of their very first birthday cake. 🥹

I made this little cake with so much love, care and patience, staying in touch with Mom throughout the process. I wanted her to know just how honoured I was to be a small part of such a meaningful occasion.

Because I know I’m not just making cakes, cupcakes and cookies.

I’m participating in significant memories.

Birthdays. First birthdays. Anniversaries. Baby showers. Milestones big and small.

These moments go by so quickly, and we don’t take them for granted. ❤️

Thank you, Mom, for trusting me with such a precious milestone. It truly was an honour.

And yes… this little smash cake was vegan, gluten-free and nut-free, just like everything we create. 🌱💕

💕 A little love, sent from far away…

We recently received a very special order from all the way across the world. 🌎💕

Someone reached out to us through our website from the Middle East, hoping to send a little something sweet to someone special here in Hamilton.

We were so honoured that they chose Marci’s Bakery to help deliver their love from so far away. 🥰

We baked up a beautiful box of our chocolate chip cookies, carefully packaged it with a whole lot of love, and delivered it right to their door.

There’s something so heartwarming about being trusted with moments like these. ❤️

Because sometimes you can’t be there in person…
but you can still send a little sweetness. 🍪💕

Sometimes, the sweetest orders come at the last minute 🤍
Yesterday, a lovely woman reached out with a special request. Her kitchen is currently being renovated, and today is her daughter’s birthday. She was hoping I could make a cake for her daughter’s special day. 🎂💕

Normally, a next-day cake order just isn’t something we can accommodate — we’re usually pretty booked.
But this time, everything came together… and we were so happy we could say YES! 🥰

A rich chocolate cake, covered in chocolate ruffles and finished with delicate vanilla buttercream flowers — made especially for a birthday girl.

Because sometimes life gets busy, kitchens get renovated, plans happen at the last minute… and you just need a little cake magic. ✨
