Well, this weekend I was able to create my 3rd largest cake ever. It was huge and heavy. Full slab, both chocolate and vanilla cake. Vanilla buttercream. I used chocolate for the drip and sadly, I think it was a bit too hot and then stopped the drip when it touched the cold cake. So it looked rather wonky. But I love the colour scheme they chose. Everything on the cake was edible and made by hand.

Been a busy couple of weeks all around but I did have a couple of orders. Much fun with the cupcakes, I love putting the pink and purple together. They always look so cute. Then a cake for a kindergarten graduate. Cherry chip with buttercream and cherries in between the layers. Today’s cake was a love/hate relationship. The heat made it very difficult to put the flowers on the side. They kept melting and sliding. Took a bit, but I figured it out. The inspo was an AI generated version so I tried my best to replicate it. It wasn’t perfect but I’m happy with the result.

Was asked to do an interesting cake for this weekend. Started off with an ask for one and changed to this one. I’ve done numbers before but never two side by each. I learned much from that experience. And because that wasn’t enough, before work I was putting finishing touches on and the power went off on the street. Picture me doing my cake by the flashlight on my phone 🙄🙄😱😱🤣🤣

Both were much fun and yet challenging at the same time.
