Well, sometimes you just have to know when to quit. I’m a slow learner.
However, it’s time to pull the plug on the mixer.
After, I think 5 years, I’ve learned a lot in this baking world, in fact more than a lot. Unfortunately, I’ve also gained a lot too…of weight and body aches! Lol
I have to be honest with myself, I am not a business woman. As much as I love baking, it has become too much for me and my family.
I think I have become really lazy and impulsive and spending more on ideas than actually into plans.
However, I am pretty proud of myself from having my grandfather soak a whole tray of raspberry bars, not once, not twice but three times because they were gross and burnt, donuts that I baked in the oven in an inch of oil when I was 8 that came out like rocks, to travelling to Paris and England to perfect those donuts and learn pastry arts…to on-line courses and the steady continuous self learning on line or working with a pastry chef and even receiving Platinum, Gold, Silver & Bronze awards in 5 categories every year that I’ve been running this business from Community Votes Hamilton.
I love baking and mostly I love wowing all of your tastebuds. I like food and I know what tastes good and what tastes like…well…processed and made with lard and margarine. Lol
THANK ALL OF YOU for supporting me and sending or posting praises of my work, to faithfully putting up with my crazy posts and last minute sales.
THANK YOU’s to for coming up with this brilliant name way back when in a contest I ran amongst some of my funniest friends.
To my family, for always insisting on buying items from me, and especially my mom……who insisted on paying always and I think actually said things tasted really good.
I apologize to those who tried to help me be a better business woman…especially, Your patience and commitment to me in the early years were more than any business person could dream of.
, for keeping me thinking I could do this and giving me ideas on how to be a business person.
