DESPERATELY SEEKING SUMMER 🌞
Our special this week will give you the illusion of summertime fun hanging out in the park having a picnic!
Couscous grain bowl with cucumber, tomato, feta, pickled turnips, crispy chickpeas, lemon tahini vin, pepperoncini, herbed yogurt and your choice of chickpea lentil fritter OR beef kofta! It's delightful!

MONDAYS!! You've been asking for years. Mondays are our heavy prep days, we get ready for the week making all our doughs, prepping what ingredients we can ahead of time, making stocks and soups and condiments, doing a buttload of dishes, running errands etc. Since the summer months are generally slower in the cafe realm, we are going to TRY OUT being open for a short day on Mondays with just the essentials! For 3 weeks leading up to our summer break we will be OPEN MONDAY from 1030-130. June 8th, June 15th, June 22nd are the dates. We will reassess during our vacation and decide if it will continue to be a thing! We will have espresso + specialty drinks and drip coffee of course. We will have a very limited selection of treats (probably just some cookies to start as we do our wholesale bake for the next day) and a couple pre-made wraps (with veg options) and possibly a biscuit sando. Ashley will make the food before we open and when it's gone its gone! Menu will be posted in the morning before we open on our stories.

Sorry this is long winded but I must stress that this can only work for us if y'all come thru. If it's successful this summer we may look at it being a thing all year round! We'll just have one person out front so pls be patient! You're welcome to sit in and enjoy your food and drinks too since that's part of getting out of the house/office!

THE TOASTESS WITH THE MOSTESS is our special this week! A bagel tartine, if you will.

Your choice of toasted bagel (sesame or everything), hummus, roasted delicata squash, cucumber, pickled red onions, herbs, za'atar seed crunch and pomegranate molasses drizzle. Add bacon or a fried egg if you wish! Here all week!

Last week was a great one! Lots of new and familiar faces came through the door. Returning grads who have left town came back to say hi, a bunch of conferences, tourists and more! Many of you pumped up our tires real good by telling us about how much you love our bagels, our focaccia and our awesome food and treats menu! I'd be lying if I said every day was easy breezy, but hearing from you makes it worth it. We're taking a long weekend and will be closed up on Tues (taking Monday off + bumping prep day to Tues) so we can enjoy some rest and time with our family and friends!

We had a DELIGHTFUL time being open for our first event! If you came by - THANK YOU!!! Here are our fun cakes that we did. It was so fun to make something totally different from our usual!

Slide 1: chocolate fudge cake, Diana's famous fudge buttercream, passion fruit curd, fresh berries and salted chocolate shortbread crumb.

Slide 2: lemon olive oil poppyseed cake, strawberry compote with thyme and lemongrass, vanilla swiss, milk crumb + these insane chocolate covered freeze dried strawberries that we are all obsessed with from

Slide 3: (my fave!!) Thai tea brown sugar butter cake, mango calamansi curd, hojicha caramel, black sesame shortbread crumb, tiny fried rice paper crisp.

YAY WE LOVE BAKING! not pictured, all of the delicious flower moon matchas, banana split mochas and frozen hot chocolates that we whipped up! BYE! 👋😇✨✨✨
