Had the privilege of making this baby shower cake for a colleague. This is my famous rasmalai fusion cake which was well received by a lot of friends who were learning and tasting about this Indian dessert for the first time. Both cakes are the same flavour.
A cute woodland/critter cake for mama to be, and a simple floral design with a light dusting of pearls. Picture 4 shows the filling of the Indian dessert (rasmalai) in the cake.
While making this cake I couldn't help but keep thinking about my not so little cousin brother and mama to be who just had their baby shower and will soon have their baby too. 🥹 Such exciting times!

Storm night, no power = baker's nightmare. But we got through it. Phew!
I had this amazing opportunity to bake two cakes for a Bishop turning 90! Such a privilege to do this. The cakes were vanilla cake sponge with vanilla frosting. They fed 100 guests. Used pallette knives to paint on the pictures with fresh cream.
Cake 1 : A Cape Bretoner (Cape Breton map) who loves canoeing and loves hockey (hockey stick instead of the paddle) and loves ice skating (skates hanging from the canoe)
Cake 2 : The Bishop with the church in the background, All Saints Cathedral in Halifax.
